Do any Europeans play this game?

Don't mind playing with Americans, i mean my best friend is from Olympia, WA but... you know, i'm just curious whether there's much issues due to the server location, etc?

personally i want to try this game, i mean i've heard people slate graphics but, i bought FFVII as soon as it was available for the PS3... so i'm very easy. Gameplay, setting, story, crafting, fun... that's all that matters to me.

Edited: one other thing steam or D2D? i mean D2D offers a horse but it's like $10 (£5) more expensive. Are horses hard to get?

Some from euro say they play fine with no or min lag, and some say they cant play at all due to lag so im unsure really.

Some US folks also complain about lag. It might be worse for EU on average, but I think most lag is not because of the location of the client. I normally play fine without problems. I do have a rather solid internet connection. I do see a lot of people online regardless when I log in.

Population in this game is great and suprised me really.

Playing from Germany. The last few patches reduced the lag a lot and is now (apart from one or two non-lag related but very annoying bugs) perfectly playable. Horses are easy to get on the game. The first time I got a horse in the game was on lvl 4, without having to read any guide, lending money or anything else.

Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)

Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)

So, how's the EU population in the game? I wouldn't want to roam around in a huge world while the yanks are sleeping. Good on it's own way if you want to scavenge or PvE without getting disturbed, but still, tis a MMORPG.

ESS O ESS. O ESS O. OR ESS? Bah, fuck it, just call 911.

Dutchie here, no problems with lag at all.

And there are quite some euros playing, so you wont end up in an empty game when the yanks are at work or asleep...

Playing from the UK myself and there isn't noticeable lag most of the time. I did have a few instances where it seemed laggy, but overall that aspect has been fine.

    Ningen wa ningen da.

I play... I'm European... but I live in Texas...

  • I live outside of Cardiff in Wales and have had very few issues.

Have you guys played in heavy duty areas like pvp battles? I can imagine no problems when soloing, but lag is unlikely to cause issues then.

If they have not launched with a euro server has the game even been offically realeased in Europe? Any idea if they have any plans to expand out of the States?

I'm from Belgium and I have no lag anymore.

There were some difficulties the first days, but that seems to be part of the past.

    With lag I mean delays.

About the horse,  it's extremely easy to get. Everyone is suposed to have a horse within the first few levels. You can get it in 30 mins or so if you know what to do.

I have the STEAM T-shirt. I'm level 16 and still wearing it. Mean while I have a horse, a better horse and a motorcycle :-)

Just to give you an idea.

The stats are good on the T-shirt.

And yes it's cheap on STEAM and it's fast.

Yep, steam shirt will stay for long, as I can't even craft any better with the Shirts 3 tradeskill... and there is no Shirts 4 (!).

It's quite cool to have different shirt and coat/jacket slots anyway :)

Also, it was only 28 EUR+tax on steam (34 in total).

Lastly, about EU folks: Even on weekend AM's (when US folks are surely asleep), there is no problem with the population ingame. After lunch it just increases slowly, and in the evening it goes out the roof :D

Yep, I got it through steam too, and I'm pleased with the t-shirt. It has long-term use.

As for lag, I'm in England and I have had performance issues. Especially in Oilville, which is just crazy most of the time - small, compact and extremely busy! I'm not sure it has anything to do with being in Europe or not. My performance has improved since I upgraded my ram, although it still crashed in Oilville once. I no longer get the chuntering pute everytime I enter a town now, though. Basically, I think your computer probably has more bearing on performance than location.

UK here and the game playes fine. A must buy best MMO for choice and variety I have played in a long while.

Once the tweak the AI on the NPCs that will be the icing on the cake.
