Besides; nobody really made that claim that all of you are fat, or obnoxious... atleast not up to this point :P
They sure are, the OP by posting this article, copies the original authors' suggested claim that all Americans are fat greasy slobs.. I mean who the hell else would eat a 1500 calorie doughnut burger? And then you in this reply. I guess everyone has this overwhelming need to call Americans fat, but isn't is a little weak to resort to indirect suggestion?
I go to Wal-Mart to get my groceries so believe me, I know there are some FAT GREASY SLOBS, but that doesn't mean all of us are, despite how badly some people want to ignore that.
Anyway, it's just a doughnut-burger article, big deal, I know. I'm just tired of seeing all of us being put in the same group as these people: www.peopleofwalmart.com/
Been to America a few times and they do have the worlds worst food. Frigging not only do they give you too much but everything is processed food and over farmed. No wonder why so many people get sick eating American food cause it's so farmed that one disease spreads into everything else. Go to Italy or something and their food is just amazing because they care about the quality.
Remember being in a restaurant in America and the starters were as big as the main meal. Then the main was like a mountain and frigging made me sick to look at it. I left at that point and frigging saw someone getting a dessert and frigging it was the whole cake........... erm give them a frigging slice, no wonder why so many restaurants fail.
They expect a big tip and it's like wtf did you do? You wern't esactly nice, you gave us shit food and all you did was deliver it. You never asked if we wanted another drink or whatever and you expect a tip? Fuck offf.

lol.. dude that post is funny as hell. And true! The part about the desert made me laugh.. ya theres some restaraunts that give you these insane deserts thats enough to feed a family. "Got room for desert? Well shove this entire cake topped with a half gallon of ice cream in your pie hole, fatty!"
its just recently that some restaraunts are learning about smaller portions. TGI Fridays for instance has a seperate menu for smaller portions, also offers desert shooters which are about an ounce. Its funny when people start eating portions they admit they feel better, and when the desert is small they dont feel like as guilty.
but ya, most restaraunts.. especially chains in the US are disgusting in how they treat their patrons. Some cities have regulations on chains that are allowed within an area. On the coast here..which is at my backdoor is like this. Not just restaraunt chains but retail shop chains as well. If you want good food, go to a non-chain restaraunt and dont go to a bar. There are a lot more crap hole restaraunts than good ones in the states but if you ask around.. or just ask people at the hotel you stay at you can usually find a good/healthy place to eat (unless youre visiting alabama, or mississippi.. and im not sure why you would do that)

Yes Varny, all of America is like that ONE bad restaurant. Try going somewhere that is local, not crap like Burger King. Surprisingly, America does have bad places to eat, I'm sure I could go to where-ever you live and find a pretty nasty place too.

If only they would share the pies, then people would not have such a bad impression of them.

Am I missing something or is that just a burger with a doughnut instead of a bun? That's not extreme in the least. I'd try it without hesitation. Dough is dough, and some glazing, as the article said, would only help to compliment the bacon. I guess that makes me a fat slob.

The only place that I've been to that sounds like this is Cheesecake Factory. But then again, if you've ever eaten their cheesecake, you wouldn't say "give them a frigging slice." I have never once been able to eat through one full slice, and that's after I only eat half of the meal I order (I normally get salads, and these are MONSTER SALADS!). This is also the only restaurant I've been to where I see other people order appetizers, an entree AND THEN put down a slice of cheesecake, and feel disgusted by it.
Otherwise though, I think you need to stop going to bad places to eat (IE: chains). Even in TEXAS, I can get extremely healthy food, stuff made with all-natural or organic ingredients, and it's very easy to find these places. All you have to do is spend a few minutes looking online, instead of wandering into any old place and then complaining about why it's not up to par (news flash here... no country is going to be 100% perfect with their food and service).

Great stuff about the Raw Food Diet is you never cook anything!
The only thing which would make me reluctant to try that burger is the glazed sugar. Doesn't seem like it would go well with a burger to me. But I like hamburgers and I like doughnuts so who knows.
Honestly, I eat whatever I feel like eating and don't worry about the latest healthy eating fads. If even half of that stuff were true I'd already be dead. Heck, take my dad for example, he's pushing 80 and he's still active and healthy even though he's been stuffing himself with supposedly unhealthy food all of his life.
I subsist on a diet which primarily consists of beef, pork, carbohydrates, and dairy. I won't buy or use skim milk or anything low calorie or low fat and in my book vegatables are just for adding flavor to the real food (like onions on a burger). And yet I'm healthy and active and I'm not fat.
I'm not sure what the health gurus would say my ideal body weight should be but I'm 6 foot 1 and a half inches and 210 lbs. Maybe a few pounds over the theoretical ideal body weight but I don't look fat. However, I do work out and get a lot of other exercise in addition, not because I'm worried about living a healthy lifestyle but..I don't know, just because I like to.
So screw the health nuts. They can torture themselves by living on veggies and I'll enjoy real food and I bet I'll outlive most of 'em.
With articles like these in British newspapers, it's no surprise the rest of the world thinks that Americans eat Doughnut Burgers on a daily basis. Has anyone else noticed that the telegraph take stories from the internet and put them back on the internet weeks later?
