A fair warning to anyone who reads this, you may want to think again before playing any game on ijji. This is a story about them.
In one of their games, on Friday Oct 9, their was a server wide glitch caused by a patch that basically SWAPPED the data of many characters. Many people got free gold, free levels, and/or free skill points. Many people lost these. Some people gained 70 levels, some gained 30k gold. Some lost 70 levels, some lost 30k gold. Now, I don't have to explain how this damages the game severely were anything BUT a server rollback applied.

GM_Etoile responded by releasing a patch that was supposed to fix this. It fixed nothing and people were still getting glitched. Etoile did not stick around to see if the patch worked and fleed to the weekend leaving players to wait until Tuesday (The GMs apparently had Discoverer's Day off).
Tuesday comes around and what seemed like the only logical choice (rollback) is one that, for some reason, our beloved GM decides against. What is her answer to this problem? "Tell me your data lost, and don't lie!"

This is disgusting and I would not even have expected this from ijji. So instead of saving the data of people who have played for a year+, they decide to save the data of a few days (a day if they would have had ROLLED back on friday to before the glitched patch was applied), not to mention invalid data of people spending things that were not theirs (money/skill points). Ijji may have perhaps pleased a few people who have played legitly over the weekend, but in turn screwed over the rest that have had data swapped, especially those that have played since gng and TFT (short-lived company) had owned Lunia.
So where will this take Lunia now?
- many banned characters (due to the glitch that caused some to get auto-banned)
- inflated economy
- illegit characters
- characters whom have not been correctly restored
- dead Lunia

"you get what you pay for"
"Good? Bad? I'm the guy with the gun."
I s that so?!
"BUT whyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah all this hate against free to play mmos?"
+1
got it now?
now: GW2 (11 80s).
Dark Souls 2.
future: Mount&Blade 2 BannerLord.
"Bro, do your even fractal?"
Recommends: Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls, Mount&Blade: Warband, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
It's hardly f2p, you have to buy most of the new characters and rebirths, etc. I don't look for games based on price, just whether I enjoy them or not and I like these skill-based/reflex/non level-based games like Lunia because I get bored of mmos like WoW. Believe it or not, there are f2p games backed by good companies.
What difference does it make if it's F2P?
Still crappy right?
friggin trolls...there's a big fire I'd like to show ya...over here....
"This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to. Relax....."
By the way what are the games you know that ijji's handling?
Ya know this goes to show the saying,"you get what you pay for." still has YET to fail F2P games its a bunch of guys with an extra $300 bucks layin around that say,"lets go make a game." with any real finacial stablity of course the game is bound to mess up.Also, did you or any of your co-players ever let the GM's now hey a rollback would do the trick? If not,it's just as much of your fault as it is the admins. You want a good fun reliable game? save up $60 bucks and go buy WOW or Guild Wars. They still have some problems but not like F2P games do.Sorry bout your luck there...
Ok, firstly, GMs have the right to have a life you know. If her contract is Monday to Friday, she does NOT have to stick around. Maybe the publisher should have a week-end / night team, but that may depend on their commitment to the game and their budget. And that is not Etoile's fault.
Secondly, she may not even be the one having decided on not doing a roll-back. She is a GM, not necessarily a high-power manager in the studio. Chances are, she is not treated much better than an average intern.
The only real problem I see here is the studio's decision to send in a patch right before a three-day week-end. THAT is a recipe for failure, as there is no one to correct any glitch for three days, and so, when someone gets around to correct it, it's too late.
But here again, that's probably not Etoile's fault. Just because she is the one person in the studio you know about and talk to, does not mean she takes any decision. She is probably just the messenger - and the scapegoat.
I agree 100% with Chealar. Small details are barely important however, all f2ps do this kinda stuff regularly and i hope you will have at least learned your lesson and stay away from them in the future. I know first hand to have something like this happen to you its infuriating, and i hope you dont have a hard time letting go.
Just to make things clear...
I speak for myself and no one else, unless i state otherwise mine is just an opinion. A fact is something that can be independently verified, you may challenge such but with proof. You have every right to disagree with me through sound argument, i believe in constructive debate, but baseless aggression will warrant an unkind response.
Well actually, some F2P companies invest a lot in community management, at least in the beginning, to bring in and retain players.
However, even with good intentions, CM are not generally deciders. And as the game grows, it becomes more and more difficult to answer really quickly and efficiently to everyone. Most importantly, it becomes impossible to please everyone.
I feel sorry for NA S.U.N players... decent f2p, but published by ijji.
