So I bought this game a month ago and played oh about 2 days out of the free month. After that, I went into my account and took my credit card info off thinking that it wont recur billing since there's no card info anymore and I could just play the rest of the free month as I wished. Well, yesterday, to my surprise, I was billed for $14.99 for a month of Champions Online. Thankfully they gave me a refund after I sent in a ticket and informed me that I was supposed to cancel the subscription for it not to recur. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I remember right I could just take my credit card on file off my City of Heroes account and a warning would appear saying something along the lines of Doing this will result in your game account to expire after the payment time is up. So, can anyone inform me how you get billed if there's no payment method on your account?

You were direct debited, this is the process of an automatic transfer every month.
Unless you click cancel your info is not removed. Even if you click cancel you credit card info will be in the system some where if at some future date you want to re up for got your log-in and no longer have the email you signed up with they can use that to confirm who you are. At least other games have done that so assume they do the same.
