everquest 2 cold shoulder?

hey ive had everquest 2 for almost 4 years and ive quit and went back for numerous bvarying reason only REACHING  level 18. im renewing my acount today, honestly  is it worth it im 80 in wow loving dnd online whats the verdict?

    EQ2 is a good game. However, it does get to be a grind and feels very sterile as a world.

    If you have an 80 in wow and only an 18 in EQ2 after 4 years why even ask? Go back to wow.

    Eq2 isnt not a grind really. you can do 1 - 30 in a day if you wanted 2. gettin 2 lvl 80 could take you like 2 weeks or so. now that they have that Npc where you can lvl down in lvls of 5 you can go back kill names for aa's and all. Though if you really wanna see people in lower lvl zones and all go with Antonia Bayle server.

    lemme explain why im only 18 i got 18 in 2 days i have like 20 haracters ive had ironic unfortunate events of why ive had to quit  like idk my laptop BURSTING INTO FLAMES buut now i got a new gaming computer and i wanna know is it worth it? like what can you do at level 80?

    My thing with EQ2 was I couldn't decide on what template to go to 80. I was always trying different combinations and ended up with like 10 level 5s hehe.

     op!eq2 is a great game ,but if you dont like death penalty and a gothic style graphic ,eq2 isnt for you 

    pvp server or or the rp server are great choice nicelly populated 

    lot of couple in this game ,dont ask me why lol

    set your graphioc card to replace all setting ,and your good to go 

    dont put aa higher then 8x

    but i have to say like the other poster if you got a level 80 in wow ,wow might be better 

    unless you plan to do like me and lot of other stay outside of wow till cataclysm is out

    flavor of the month is AION,just in case you dont know

     3 faction good ,evil,and exiled (both side can attack you )

    lot of raid  lot of pvp

    Some people like it, some don't.  I've gone back to EQ2 several times, but could never stay for longer than 2-3 months max each time.  It just isn't my style, and there are small things that bug me.

     

    But others like it.  I mean if you've gone back many times and have only managed to get 18 and keep on quitting, then maybe the game isn't for you?  I don't know.

    it's like wow now. there are "void shards" which are like badges for welfare gear. levelling is about the same speed as wow. i think the highest raids are pretty brutal though, haven't done any myself.

    Eq2 is a very good game. There is plenty to do besides combat. The housing is awesome and a lot of choices to buy a home and spiff it up. The crafting is needed and you will make plenty of plat if you’re dedicated. You do have the asshats in channels but it is par for most MMOs. The graphics are top notch for an older game if you have the knowledge and hardware to push it. Expect more graphic upgrades in the future. The CSR are better, but that is not saying much. The sound and npc’s speaking kicks this game up a notch above the competition. The time to level is up to you now since you can cut the exp to AA by a bar. If you wanted to level to 80 for raids I could do it in a week of playing. But I have an account since day one and have the perks for it, plus cash.

    But as a new comer with no cash, I would say two weeks. I don’t think that there is a game that has the amount of content of EQ2.

    If you’re a raider there are plenty of raids to do, but you need to be in a guild of like minded people. Pick up raids are very few.
