Aion Pvp and pve

ZtekanZtekan Member Posts: 261

Ive noticed that Aion is more focused on PVP rather than PVE.

I like the game much , but i start to realize that the game lack PVE.

Wich is very bad, its so bad , i might quit the game.

I am one of the milions that rather playes PVE content based games rather than PVP.

IMOP this might be Aions downfall aswell, like Warhammer.

Does anyone knows if there is more PVE content to make the game fun ?

What i meen is , has Aion bite there self in the ass like warhammer did.

This is the kids foult , they havent played Doom CS or Battlefield Duke Nukem in LAN like us other , so they dont know the real fun of PVP.  =)

In some sort this was a joke , but i think its the truth.

PS you dont build a game based on PVP , you build it on PVE and add PVP as a extra content, not vice versa

Afaik, there's a lot more PVE in the Abyss, well, PvPvE...but you get my drift.

    Indeed but.

There is 3 layers in the abyss , that are very small, i meen , you travel on the first layer from east to west in 3 min , so how much PVE can it be there ?

Ah...you raise an interesting point there. I would hope there is more PVE content, since I'm a big PVE fan myself.

Every keep is basically its own dungeon. Also one you have a keep/artifact it unlocks more dungeons for your side to be able to do.

It seems pretty obvious that you've never played or heard of Ultima Online.

Well, the game was praised everywhere as PvP game, so I'd be surprised if it would offer substantial amounts of PvE. Not to mention that this makes sense for the developers as well... it's easier to have people be their own challenge for each other, than to create interesting bosses.

Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)

Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)

Good point there as well, maji. There is the third faction though right, the Balaur or however it's spelt? - which is CPU controlled?

Indeed, there is the third faction, which is awesome when you defending a Fortress and the balaur comes to rip you a*s when you think you allready owned over the other faction hehe =P Well , this game was allways meant to be PvP focused, even some1 who hasnt pay attention to this game shall know that.

So with all that PvP talkin you couldn't expect to have more PvE, for me its fine the way it is, i love the PvE and the PvP is simply awesome :)

I like a game with both features, and AION is one of those, and i love those features together.

I dont know what will come in the next big patch, but the last one come with 12 new instances, so maybe it means they dont forget PvE content, i bealive they will still increase the PvE content, as so PvP, but only time will tell.

Atm, a player that comes to AION only for PvP or only for PvE, it might not be very happy with the game.

To OP: If you really like the game, try to have fun in the PvE content and dont stress with ganking actions. Try to make a nice group of ppl that have the same objectives on game, and you might still have fun with only PvE actions, OR, stop playing for now and keep a eye with future patch's, OR just change to a only PvE mmo.   ;)

    Just my thoughts  :)

That's great, what do you like about it most, if you don't mind me asking?
