this is what I want to see. Fallen Earth failed on the faction part. I would like to join one faction and be hated by the others! lol

However, i don't know anything else about the game, no point reading about it because it always makes games sound soo brilliant and at the end your left somewhat very dissapointed, hell, even so far thinking what a crock of shit this is. However having said that, i do read a little, but not all. Most of which you already know sound better than what will actually transpire.
For me, the power is in the playtest (try before you buy) and that, thesedays, is of course getting into a beta stage. Yes, what used to be jobs for many, is now jobs for only a handfull to test and test and test again. However what we get for doing some of it for free is actuall game footage. I don;t mind beta's, open or closed, i don't care how many wipe's these stages have, what i care about is finding, reporting bugs, giving input for improvements and most of all, actual game experiance before you purchase (if the game is good to buy or not). So untill then, i will wait, watch and hope. Continue playing lotro and wow (AoC i have dropped). I also play 3 web games LOL ye i know, but hey, gives me somethign to do.

Welcome brother- All will be explained in good time. Public info cannot be released for fear that the Bastard Dragons (and the other guys) will have our great hidden knowledge. =P

No, I know what you mean BUT they couldnt have made a cooler setting. I LOVE Conspiracy stuff so this is right up my Alley and I envision having spys and lots of political manuvering and "hidden levels" of truth and WOW- This game has the potential to really shine if properly done,

I really hope they pull this off because its such a cool idea that isnt "fantasy" or "space".

You buy a poor quality product you typically avoid dealing with that specific company again. Goes for just about everything else you buy, so why should MMO/game companies be any different?

Buy a new car made by XXX company that is a lemon...you typically will not rush out to buy from the same company again.

Buy a new TV made by XXX company that dies one day after the warrenty runs out, you won't rush out to buy the same TV.

Buy cookies from XXX company and the cookies taste like doggie doo with sawdust chips in them, you won't buy cookies from that company again.

Buy a game developed from XXX company and it is total crap, you typically won't rush out to buy their next major game.

Nobody is a moron for not trusting the hype Funcom is capable of. AoC was the next gen MMO. To many it was like that cookie that tastes like doggie doo. So what is so outragious that people have learnt not to trust the Funcom hype?

Horkothane reminds me of Ztyx or Joel. The main difference is he doesn't stick with a game for very long.

I will wait and see what is said about the launch.  If they do their usual job I will wait longer till they update the game, if they transcend themselves and actually launch a game that is good at start I will give it a try.  The market in MMO's is filled with  what is, in my opinion, slop.  I would rather play DDO for free then pay money for a game that is not worth it. DDO is fair but for free it is worth what I paid for it.  For $50+ plus monthly fees I want something more than what FUNCOM has given in the past.  So, I like what I see, but I will wait to see if "seeing is believing".  FUNCOM is on probation as far as I am concerned.

Yes but your a Dragon and thus your opinion doesnt count. Only us Illuminati have the right to express our opinions... Dragons- LOL. Go play with your sword and leave opinions to factions that matter.

BTW- I hope you know I'm just playing- I actually fully agree with your post- But since your a Dragon, I had no choice...

np - I love it, and btw death to all Illuminati!

Looks pretty sweet so far.. But wont kill WoW as the website says it will have next generation graphics.

The majority of the WoW crowd cant handle that anyway.

The only thing that will kill WoW is WoW.  When it ceases to be fun anymore and, perhaps, when a number of games... not just 1 but a number of them, have drawn away it's subscription base.  It will be a long time coming, in fact even when it is no longer the number 1 game it will still be there as a niche game like the original EQ.

Horkatane, you are the biggest moron on these forums. Every single time a new MMO is announced you get all wet and start worshiping it like it was the new meshia. But you are AAAAALWAYS wrong, rofl. You did the same damn thing for darkfail. Are you a troll, because Im starting to doubt. I mean, you CANT be THAT stoopid. Get a grip on yourself son, judge a game for what it is and not for what you think it will be. Its AaAAaAll in your head man... Someone need to smack some sense into your small skull. Its the people like you that kill the MMO genre. Ah yeah, and stop pre-ordering, you will quit the first week anyway.

Without even a gameplay video there has some people with blind faith in the game already, and we all know it's Funcom behind it... so I'm missing the thing that gets you all hyped.

Unless you somehow love Funcom because of their past games, then yeah, ok... I understand why you love the unreleased game and all, but elevating your personal game opinion to the point of making a "kills WoW" thread, magically making millions of players suddenly and simultaneously stop playing it to play one of the 9001 MMOs (and 1 of the few above-average titles) getting released yearly? ...Oh it's the CO kills WoW guy.

My gut says FUNCOM is perfectly capable of screwing this up, but the idea of a game that is more along the lines of reality (real world base, human characters who don't lvl or wear big neon shoulderpads) sounds refreshing.......... hopefully they'll prove me wrong. I am sick of halfassed fantasy and scifi games where you lvl to cap and grind your way thru the same dungeons killing the same named monsters over and over again, and the same old hotkey/macro based pvp.

I am looking forward to this game but claiming it (or any other game) a WOW killer is counterproductive... grow up dude

    Just to make things clear...
I speak for myself and no one else, unless i state otherwise mine is just an opinion. A fact is something that can be independently verified, you may challenge such but with proof. You have every right to disagree with me through sound argument, i believe in constructive debate, but baseless aggression will warrant an unkind response.

I don't like, or play WoW, but I DO NOT want a WoW killer to appear.

    Why?

Simple, I'd rather the WoW players stay exactly where they are, they are a disease to the rest of the MMO community (even if WoW's community dwarfs the rest of it)  & simply infest, degrade & diminish anything else they get involved in, I'm sick of playing other MMO's then end up reading endless discussions about WoW in them, f**k off back there and discuss it already. (I have already resigned myself to thinking this is how all MMO's will be affected by WoW but I don't have to like it, so I'm aware this is an empty rant).

I want WoW to carry on being home to 5 hundred to 5 billion or however many WoW fans, preferably they don't go pollutiing other games, a rival to Wow is a whole other thing entirely, if another game matches or exceeds WoW's sub numbers I'll be happy for it.

TSW looks like being very cool, Ragnar Tornquist is a great game developer & I hope he can bring the full weight of his talent & his team's to bear & make this a fun, exciting & vibrant game that is very polished & successful, even if it starts off not as spectacular as it could be it will grow & develop & with MMO's this is what makes the games, launches set up "first impressions" so this is important to have a great launch, but launches are only part of it, player retention is the biggest & most important part, growing the game is essential.

Oh, & I tested as a Dragon, so looking forward to slicing & dicing in the not too distant future.

After you get the "take the test!" -email 3 times, it really starts to annoy you. Spam isn't really helping Funcom. But yeah, I'm Illuminati.. So secret society, that I can even mention it here on the forums. :D

I became a disciple of the Dragon, dunno why. I choose the Mp5 as a weapon of choice :(. Not that i want to be a Illuminati either :P.

But using Martial Arts sounds nice. I always wanted to kick off heads from zombies.
