I'm itching so bad for a sci-fi MMO that I've almost considered subbing to Star Wars Galaxies.

    Almost...

Nope. I don't feel the same way. I love fantasy. I keep buying fantasy genre books, games and movies,  and probably will until I die too. I enjoy Sci-Fi though, and there are already games out in that genre plus Star Wars and Star Trek look like they could be two very large releases in the near future. Personally, i have never subscribed to the either or mentality of most situations. Plenty of room for both. Fallen Earth is also not fantasy, more a post-apoc which might fall into sci-fi for some.

parrotpholk-Because we all know the miracle patch fairy shows up the night before release and sprinkles magic dust on the server to make it allllll better.

I have tried multiple times to get into fantasy, I just can't.  But as far as sci-fi goes I don't like most of those either, aliens, space ships, lasers and teleporters I have no interest in.  Both are too far disconnected from the world I live in to be interesting or meaningful, I am not saying I want a really realistic game either and I don't mind unrealistic things, but they have to be presented in a more believable manner, like Fallout or Blade Runner, scifi concepts presented in a more believable manner and not so fantastical.

Don't you worry little buddy. You're dealing with a man of honor. However, honor requires a higher percentage of profit

If the game is good (or, if it appeals to me) it really makes no difference what genre it is about. I do want to try a good sci-fi mmo though.

If you stand VERY still, and close your eyes, after a minute you can actually FEEL the universe revolving around PvP.
