You read it correctly. Im am utterly, completely, totally fed up and bored of MMOs at the moment. There isnt a single one that has held my interest for longer than 3 weeks. All Except AO. I played from launch for a whole year!! I despise WoW and I despise that they are resonsible for lowering the standards of all MMOs to simple...boring...repetative grinding with cartoonish graphics and shallow gameplay.

EVE Online...bored me to tears. Its too slow and requires far too much time to be good at it and a maths/physics degree to be able to play it effectively. I like the idea behind EVE, but its just...pathetically long winded, slow and mind numbingly...tiedious(Excuse spelling). I hate grinding the same missions over and over for small rewards. I would love to find a better Sci Fi MMO...one that is...has depth and can indeedmatch the game for graphics, but that is a little quicker and has better gains for time invested. Ive tried Neocron, AO, SWG, Matrix, etc.

In short...Im hopelessly bored stupid and the MMO industry is just churning out pathetic WoW clones hoping to capture some of its financial success and failing miserably.

    Also, I suggest you look at Infinity, it's a sci-fi MMORPG under construction. It's been in development for about 5 years so it could possibly be vaporware. It's still being updated every now and again though.

    Well, since EVE didn't suit you, perhaps STO will in 1st Qtr or 2010, or JGE which might also come out in the same time frame.  Finally there's the holy grail, TOR, perhaps that will be your guiding light.

    Yeah, I have looked at Infinity Online before, downloaded the combat engine that they have...but, meh...I dunno. It lacks something. Might be better when the whole game finally gets released. Id love some grandious game along the lines of...well, you can command your own ship and you expand out from there, gaining in rank, exploring a huge universe that the players explore for their factions, make colonies on, expand the territory etc...something with some meat. But SIGH...no one wants to make a game like that.

    JGE = Jumpgate Evolution and

    TOR = The old Republic...I think

    TOR: I guess he means The Old Republic as in Star Wars: The Old Republic
