i think WOW really spoil lots of people. if you ever play NC's Lineage 2 or FFXI, those are the true grinding games. Aion's grind is much lighter compare to them  you get bored, try to lvl up in abyss. you can pvp and hunt mob at same time. just buy one of the personal rez thing{ forgot the name}. or run Fire Temple once a while.

 

btw, the death penalty is a joke. just pay some $$ then u get xp back?..... no wonder so many parties get wipe out

Every time I read one of these threads about Aion, I wonder; is the OP trying to convince everyone else, or themselves?  Maybe if you repeat it enough, it'll be ok and acceptable, right?

It's really not that grindy..but then again if you grind elites your xp flies (solo kill in about 3.5 min on my SM).

 

350K xp every 3.5 minutes and 36 million to level to 40.   So if I popped an energy drink I could grind 39-40 in 6 hours.  Probably 7 if I didn't bring food/pots.

Yes grinding is part of the game. Some people like to grind. They are generally few and far between though. There is nothing wrong with having different tastes just don't expect the rest of us to hop on board.

Grinding is fine... as long as it's interesting. If it's not interesting in the least (like Aion), it makes one wonder if the game is worth it. In my opinion, it wasn't. Particularly since the goal ( zerg PvP) is so average.
