The only thing that annoys me about this game is how long it takes to craft and gather all the resources without having to go to the market. Also it is a lvl based game still and I am kinda sick and tired of lvl based games. Either than that I am enjoying it, I like the size and the learning curve (which is HUGE!) of the game.
Seriously guys, this is probably the best experience I've had with an MMORPG since WoW release. I loved UO, EQ, SWG, DAoC, LOTRO, EQ2, Eve and WoW. I had great times playing all of them, and I have been looking for the same feeling I had when playing and progressing through them. I tried to love AoC, Warhammer, Matrix, CoX, Champions Online, Vanguard, or even Aion. I just couldn't. At the end of the free 30 days, I realized that those games had no soul. Yeah, maybe cool animations, cool graphics, or cool licensce. But just boring. And now I'm loving Fallen Earth. Guys, I'm not telling you to buy the game. Get a trial asap and try it out. If you are one of those who are looking for a new, good and deep MMO experience, Fallen Earth may be your game. It's definetly mine
and how much are they paying you to post this??? If any game "doesn't have a soul" it is Fallen Earth.... Play it for a month and see how many times you fall asleep...
And how much did you get paid to post that? And how much did Al Gore get paid to develop the internet? And how much did it cost them to fake the moon landing? And how much did the CIA have to pay Elvis to shoot JFK? And how much did the space aliens pay Sigourney Weaver to give birth to thieir baby? Seriously does anyone else think the wackaloons are running wild on the the internets? People like what they like and tend to say so. You not liking it doesn't make them wrong, or evil, or shills for a marketing conspiracy.
And I want to know how much the Aliens are paying you to lure us into a false sense of security about the motivations of Al Gore?

Echo of my own thoughts, really Slightly different list of games which disappointed me but the same overall idea. In sector two now at level 24 and the goodness hasn't let off yet.
Yeah, I'm enjoying it to, and like the OP I was pretty much done with MMOs.
Really, the last MMO that I thought was great and a true adventure was DAOC, and before that was AC. Since then I've been dissapointed game after game with brief stays in SWG, WoW, and WaR.
It feels alot like AC to me on how there no classes but yet skills that you can mix and match like you want. I love the AC openness as well, I remember sitting down with a buddy and running from one end of AC to the other and finding caves and dungeons and exploring them along the way. That was such great fun and completely free.
That's the feel I get from FE, freedom. I do not get the feeling that I'm being lead down a certain path upon which I have absolutely no choice on really anything.
So yeah, I'm enjoying it to. Now the question is do I go ahead and purchase the game or do I purchase Dragon Age this month, which I've been looking forward to for ages now.
I remember my first time logging in to EQ. Everything was new, there was so much to do and see and explore. After a year of playing a necro and finally starting an alt, it still didn't get old. It had a new feeling depending on what class you played. I'm still in the early days of the trial, but i feel the same way about FE as i did when i first started EQ. I don't feel the rush to lvl like other MMOs i've played. The quests are story driven, yet simple. I was looking to make some money to buy more ammo cause i didn't try crafting yet. I harvested a few nodes after buying my Copper book and was like "wait....did i just get exp for harvesting?" I don't need to kill mobs to lvl. Its not even really about the exp for me, its about earning the AP inorder to build my character the way i want him to be built. At lvl 3 i killed a lvl 8 mob, it wasnt easy and i bout died. But i did it, mostly because of how many points i put into my stats and skills. Granted i wont be doing that again lol but i could do it. Not because of the class i picked, but because of how i built my character. Now thats how an MMO should be made, not a cookie cutter class with a room full of accountants behind them doing math on EXP/DMG ratios for classes lol. If i want to make a toon that can use a rifle really well, i can, but i will sacrifice other areas of the game to do it,ie: blut weapons or pistols or even a mutation based toon. Just my opinion, but its a very nice game and once it gets some polish on it, it will be even better. sure it has its problems, but name an MMO that doesn't? Just name one MMO that you've had ZERO game bugs with? Ok then, now that its out of the way, hand me my frigin crossbow......i got some mutated prarie chickens to harvest!!!
So yeah, I'm enjoying it to. Now the question is do I go ahead and purchase the game or do I purchase Dragon Age this month, which I've been looking forward to for ages now.
Oo...touch choice there Shardor_Irinnis....roll me some percentile dice and let them make it for ya!
