Looks really nice and the fact you have to manually control your ranges via WASD movement make it much more appealing.

Hope i get an invite soon :o

Screen shots look amazing, including UI. Plz can i haz an invite? Seriously, I actually read game text. How many beta testers do that?

I'm having a wonderful time in Perpetuum right now.

The UI could use a scaling feature and the tutorial needs work (we discussed that already) but other than that its bloody fantastic.

Some people have complained about the graphics, I believe they're low quality to keep the battles large scale.

I like the look, then again I play in Iso view so i can fully see the terrain so graphics dont matter much to me.

Edit: If any Perpetuum devs happen to come across this thread I would like to suggest a slide bar for actual robot textures in the video options menu. I play on a low end system, I keep terrain on medium and shadows, effects on off/low.

It would make a big difference for lower end users if we could increase the textures on our robots yet still keep the other settings down. I do this in Eve where i put ship textures on high and the rest on medium/low and the game still looks great and works fine.  Anyway... just a suggestion.

This game is already more polished in closed beta than many games are on release! I am having such a blast.

Post any suggestions you have on the official game forums.

The graphics and animation is closer to placeholder than anything else currently.

So are they planning to update the graphics? Animations actually look very good to me. In fact that sorta makes the textures look out of place - i.e, seeing a nice looking explosion and the ground next to me looking pixelated.

There are constant improvements to the game made - new terrain, shaders 2.1, etc.

There was a lot of talk about changing robot walking animation and I wouldn't be surprised if completely new robot models were under work - only limiting factor is the man power, I believe.

This game has potential. I just hope all options of play style are available and that we are not limited to playing "exactly" a certain way.

I do.  And I also take notes while playing.
