World of WarCraft Open Beta installer is up

Login at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com if you have access to a closed beta account to download it now. Currently, this is the only way to download the open beta installer, as far as I can tell. Account creation is still not possible, but will more than likely be later today.

The open beta installer uses the normal Blizzard downloader system, and the filesize is a hefty 2563.93MB once downloaded. Hope to see account creation up today, see you all in WoW!

    just go to www.worldofwarcraft.com and look on the left for "Download WoW"

    Wrong client....it's only 2.5g and the CB i have now is over 3g's....installer is right but it points to the wrong client....remember Blizz is going to have OB sign ups before the actual OB begins.

    from my understanding it is legit. open beta loader / downloader ... download if yah want im getting it now same with 1000's of other peeps so.. make your own mind up.

    If that one is fake...im gunna scream.....it does seem a bit fishy actually...oh well..i'll keep dling it and see if its a virus or not ::::31::

    Yeah it's called the "Open beta downloader" so meh... also this is a completely new client which is streamlined from the old CB client. ST client was about 2 gigs and this is 2.5.

    Thats the whole point of creating the new client, get rid of all the junk in the old-heavily-patched CB client and streamline the whole thing. Also the compression may be different.

    ..wow, looks like they deleted the thread. She confirmed that the client available for download is the stress test client, and that they will post more information later. Conspiracy!

    Edit: Actually, I think the thread is still there, but the forums are borked beyond belief.

     Wow, thats stupid. It would be smart if we could just update the closed beta of WoW and download an extra 100 megs or so for the update, instead of having to download the WHOLE thing again.

     I've got World of Warcraft installed on my comp for closed beta and everything, and now i have to download another 2000 megs of the same thing with just a few updates.

    I feal like im taking crazy pills ::::06:: i dont know what to belive.

    Is the client im dling now completey useless? is it giving me a headstart so i can play right away when the acct signups are up?

    That's an OLD thread. Check the date. That was from Friday, the client that was there PREVIOUSLY was beta version 0.12. That information is no longer current or accurate. The latest from Blizzard is just what I posted, that that which is up right NOW is the stress test client.

    Well it does say World of Warcraft Open beta. When you open the file. I think it is Legit in my opinon
