This link will point to an article of a game popular in China, that makes WOW's numbers look pathetic in comparison.
23 MILLION daily active users per day,WOW claims a total of 11-13 million accounts ,the 20 million users per day is a staggering number to say the least.

yea, makes a lot of sense because everyone in China can afford to play WoW.
To compare these games to WoW is obviously logical.
You DO know that China has freaking billion people living in it, right?
And another point, perhaps: I have no clue WTF is a social farm game but WoW is a mmorpg. WoW is not a social farm game.
And of course they want to play farm games ... they're starving over there, that is unless you want to feed your baby some of that yummy melamine milk?

Ever heard of this game called "Rune Scape?"
RuneScape is a fantasy massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). It is a graphical browser game, operated by Jagex Ltd., implemented on the client-side in Java and incorporating 3D rendering. The game has approximately 104 million active accounts,[1] and is recognised by the Guinness World Records as the world's most popular free MMORPG. (Taken from Wikipedia)
104 million active accounts!!
So what if its free, its still the most popular MMO of all time apparently.
Oh, and its not based in China.
They sure do love the grind don't they

wonder what WoW's sub numbers would be if it was free.

I bet we'll find out once they launch their next MMO.
Probably WoW will go free with cash shop... as in More cash shop than it already has.
I went and looked at the source of that statement which was http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/mmo-developers-jagex-outline-mechscape--617551?artc_pg=1
In the beginning of the article, it states that there are 104 million active accounts
Then somewhere in that article, a high profile Jagex Developer stated that Runescape has 10 million active accounts per month. Which leaves me to question
What defines an "active" account?
