    Housing of some sort yes, via the Construction tradeskill. They have not set a timetable for that. As for growing crops, I have not heard anything about that...

    wow this is the weirdest thread i have seen so far....

    fallen earth is a good game to bad i just dont have the time for the crafting needs otherwise i prob play it

    Who is down for a dungeon run?

    I don't know how I'd feel about growing crops...it sounds interesting...but not sure how one would implement that when considering the other avenues of resource harvesting. Would those others need to change? Hmm, I ponder...

    If they can make a complex plant growing system in Ultima Online, I figure they can do it in FE. It would probably have to coincide with the housing system in some way though I would think... owning "land" to some degree. Growing "crops" in my backpack is just a bit too unrealistic and un-immersive for me. They could make a experimentation and hybridization system to make rare plant items with special effect... or even just plants and flowers for decorating player housing. I would so be a farmer. 8)

    Crops?  Who the hell has inventory space for crops?  I could barely keep up with the storage requirements of what I foraged here and there.  They gonna give us silos to store these "crops" in? :)

    I don't think they're talking about that kind of housing. It's more like a temporary tent you set up for banker and merchant access in the area you're plwying in.

    That's the camp tent system they were talking about. They also plan a actual player owned housing system. I'd love to see it incorporate a smal patch of fenced in land behind or in front of the house that you could grow things in. The idea does sound neat.

    Oh my, head explosion. So, why not have other options there too. Like a garage to make special vehicles? Or variation of other specialized "shops" that fit in that one place to make specialized versions of other craftables?

    From what I have gathered from posts, podcasts, interviews and such the "player housing" they are implementing is going to be of the permanent "house" variety. Although they are doing the movable "camps" thing too. What *exactly* either entails is still unknown. The only thing we know beside that basic information is that the upcoming construction skill will play some role in player housing.

    It certainly has a great deal of potential.  Although I think garage's and specialized shops should perhaps remain in the realm of town building, which is something they will hopefully implement.  

    I have to admit that the concept of growing crops or even having a small garden behind an individual house is pretty cool.  I rarely cook because I find gathering the ingredients for it to not be worth the time... this could easily change that.
