EqII vs compared to other Fantasy RPG

ForwhomForwhom Member Posts: 11

I am hearing some complaints that there is alot of similarites between eqII and Dark ages. Alot of the same type of advancement ideas, quest options, things of that nature.  Though I am not saying its the same as Daoc but I am hearing the experience is very similar. Does anyone feel that way or is this just internet smoke.

Well I am glad to hear that, I played Daoc for a bout 2 years and the end game I got bored with. I also played eq one since its beta, I was very excited about eqII coming out but since I did not get a chance to beta test it I ahve combed the boards listening to what the masses have had to say. I am still really intrested but I am not sure that I am going to rush out and be on the bandwagon to paly as soon as it comes out I may wait a few and let the bugs get hammered out and the complaints die down a bit and see what the real game has to offer.

unfortunately, i will be waiting a few months also before i get my hands on it. not becuase i choose to but, i wont have the money to purchase my new computer until around february. so i have been waiting patiently, reading news and watching ingame videos, screenshots, and looking at player sites. but, i guess as they say, good things come to those who wait...

In preparation for the game I built a computer earlier in the year, but then I decided that I wanted to try a 64 bit build with like 2 gig of ram and a new 6800 gt video card. I am hoping to have it built by christmas but  we will see.

The biggest reason I am waiting is to let the start up bugs get worked out. I did not get to beta test and I want to play a good product when I do get to it. So I ll wait to they make sure its good and stable and have done a few patches to it. That way I cna go into it with an open mind and kick some ass and take some names hehehehe.
