Why is it the the solution to MMORPG problems seems to be expansion packs or going free. Has no one in these little think tanks thought of price drops at all. As in, give the client away for free and lower the price?

parrotpholk-Because we all know the miracle patch fairy shows up the night before release and sprinkles magic dust on the server to make it allllll better.

I think the client is already free, IIRC you can switch from trial to a member just by adding a monthly payment option. Again not totally sure.

Yes.  The client is 100% free already.  Download the trial and play it.  Then you just start your sub.

I wouldn't need an xpac to come back; there's a ton of stuff that I have never experienced in the game.  But I would like the  population to increase so I can have some help to experience the content. So if an xpac did that, I'm all for it.

It still wouldn't be all that great.
