I just resubbed to AOC , and i must say they are people everywhere and the performance issues seem to be fixed, I think there is hope for this game yet!!

I'm having a hell of a time too. The game is awesome and I'm really considering the 12month plan. Playing on Tyranny there are SO many people. Whats the highest pop PVE server, and does it come anywhere close to Tyranny?
-Computer specs no one cares about: check.
-MMOs played no one cares about: check.
-Xfire stats no one cares about: check.

I enjoyed everything about this game...but the combat system is awful and never got a feel for it....glad to hear its doing well
Wiccana, Set for PVE servers
Tyranny for pure PVP
Cimmeria for RP-PVP (some decent PvP and PvE grouping)
That is where I recommend to start. I first started on Cimmeria and have guys on Wiccana and Set to, but not on Tyranny. I have always had fun whenever I log on to any of the 3 servers I play on since launch. Steered clear of Tyranny due to being pure PvP.
Best advice is to check the official forums out for the server specific forums and get in to a good guild. Check the siege times in the UI and look at the guilds fighting for and against there and aim for that.
Is this a joke post? I am serious, is it? When just three months ago there were four times the number of players loging in every night, I wouldn't call the empty vacume that is an AoC server today "booming."
Funcom has reviewed all of its assets relevant for

Actually compared to Vanguard,Ryzom, War, Swg and many more AOC is booming so no joke here, Also AOC has the potential to be one of the best mmo's out.
I play on Cimmeria (RP-PvP) mostly and Set (Normal-RP). I have fun on both servers. Tonight on Global on Set, I have seen adverts for over a dozen guilds for what its worth. Global is buzzing so there are folks playing. See you on either server. I have heard good things about Wiccana, so any future avatars that I may create I would probably start there, so I can play on several servers if it gets "FULL" again. :-) Worse things could happen right? :-)

FEAR FACTOR is back again. We almost had a clean thread without IPLAYTOOLITTLE or BLACKWISEGUY... Oh Well... These guys are scared to death that AGE OF CONAN will prove them wrong. Poor sad little boys...

Funcom has really turned AOC around they have fixed performance issues, added content, Expansion on the way, they should be scared because AOC is a good mmo.
Normally I wouldn't comment...but that made me snicker just a little bit. With all the dozens of bashing/flaming posts - seems they will need alot more than a content patch & "veteran goodies" to be "one of the best".
The fault is in the design, but I guess if your better than a slew of SOE mmos your the best
PS. The "breast enlargement" perk you can get made me *headdesk*
How are Level 80 Necros doing PvP-wise?
I was one of the first to hit 80 and had to put him away because everyone was a 1-shot Guardian, which pretty much lead to the mass exodus away from the game several months after release.
If there are actually lots of people there, I'd definately consider resubbing.
Well Guards and Necro's have had a bit of a change recently.
I guess if you are in to PvP then a Nightfall specc'd guy would be the way to go, however, in PvE different altogether. (Just my opinion)
People are kinda asking I noticed for more damage over time with using Nightfall after the last patch for PvE encounters due to longer survivability.
These are two good survivability specced necro's in feats at level 80 considering recent changes:

Pet Necro's are pretty strong in mini games, to make melee pets do decent dmg you need the right team (Conq+HoX+ToS). Well played necros put into the proper groups do more single target DPS than other classes, because they get group synergies multiplied by their pets. Pull out your 5 mutilators and 3-6 of any other melee minion whilst grouped with a ToS that uses crown and idols all the time. Group in a Conq to buff you with fireweave and then watch the DPS meters. You should be doing over 900 DPS with T0 blue equipment.
In general PvP in Khes / Tarantia Commons / Borderlands you do see a few necro's about not as many as before as they were quite over powered earlier in the year (my opinion) they are still quite formidable not so much outside a group.
I think tier'd and epic neco gear looks awesome too!

Hey guys, i am considering re subbing. When i quit i had a lvl 70 Herald of Xotli, how is the class doing compared to most?
in pve or pvp?
In pvp it is quite strong, it's main strenghts are :
- high burst dps
- aoe
- aoe CC
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.
Hox; good burst dps and still squichy unless you have deamonform witch is kinda cool thing:)

Necros have been seriously nerfed since 1.05.
1. you don't see that many pet necros in group pvp
2. NF necros have lower dps than before but still do "interesting" enough damage
P.S. you actually don't see so many necros around as before. The way to play them as changed dramatically, some didn't like that.
