LF good quest based mmorpg

NinjaNerfNinjaNerf Member Posts: 163

Hi! I am looking for some mmorpg with good quest systems. I don't like the same kill x mobs, loot y items, find object z, escort npc, bombing etc like those you see in 99% of the mmorpg nowadays.

Quests like those in runescape which are affected by the actions of the individual players are what I am looking for.

suggestion?

Good luck finding this in the new-age of MMO's.  Most quest system now-a-days IS "kill x", "loot x", or "deliver x".  Off the top of my head, I don't really know of a quest based game released in recent years that isn't some form of this.  LotRO has good story-driven quests, but even that has the typical quest system that you apparently don't like.  Good luck in finding this game, when you do, let me know.

Try DDO, quests are well beyond your usual MMO dross.

     LotRO?

Idk, a lot of those "make an impact" games aren't really quest-based, they're more sandbox...you don't make a much of an impact in RS either from what I gather...it just has nice quests. xD

I know there is rarely any good quest based mmorpg in this wow-like or cash shop  hungry mmorpg era.

What I am thinking of is maybe something like Neverwinter Nights... but only we can play with 10s of thousands of players at the same time, and at any stage instead of having everybody to start at the beginning.

For now I think I am going to try DDO and LoTR, but only if I can figure out how to get past registration. I can download and start the game and registered but I got kicked right back into the tribune trial offer pages and never received any registration confirmation emails.
