Both, I read somewhere that the stress test will carry over into the open beta.

Yep. It's not a "fp st" btw, fileplanet just provides the files for download. If this stress test is like the last one, Blizz will shut down various servers now and then and pile everyone onto the rest to see what happens. I noticed some lag here and there when they did it but it wasn't bad.
The only downside to these testing periods is that a server you created characters on might become unavailable for a short time. If that happens, you just need to make a new character on a different server - which I recommend doing so they can really push the servers.

nope, 3 min left on DL 300 kb and up straight thro. Also guys who r waiting on keys, check your junk folder, took me 3 and a half hrs to figure out to look in there and there it was, lol.

do i need to wait like 30min before it start dl it ...
on the up left side of the screen. it said : cheking file planet server .........
even though its the same client, the stress test is not the same as open beta if you do not have a file planet account. Only file planet folk can play this week and get an account key for the stress test, and those keys will also work for OB.
People who are not file planet folk will have to wait for OB to start next week when the general public can obtain account keys.
Its all crap, but its a good way to get people to play and have blizzard get some money from file planet, file planet gets money from people who subscribe just to play WoW OB and then Bliizard gets to use fileplanet for their client download servers so its a win-win situation for both companies.
The only people who get screwed are those w/o a fileplanet account.
Although i have one, and I still feel screwed cause im up to about 8 hours of waiting for my "group" to get their keys, which is the lamest idea in the entire operation
mine takes about 2hr and a half...
Im at a constant 75kb/sec, is there a faster place to dl it. At this pace it will take me about 9 hours

Well, I caved in and signed up at FilePlanet, but here's a dumb question.
Is there any other place to download the client? I'm really not to crazy about installing a FilePlanet Download Controller on my system (I like to keep a clean system).
I can't seem to find another place to download the client, including at the blizzard site.
Can anyone throw me a link?

so has anyone fully dled from this link and is playing now? cause i dont wanna dl the whole thing and then find out that its not even the right thing im supposed to be dling.. just want some reassureance on this..

how long has it usually taken ppl to start dling the client from this link? cause its been sitting here for a while saying checking file planet servers..
