Ok I was just thinking about the costs and such for this stress test and release.
Now let us begin......
Stress Test through fileplanet: 15.95
Open Beta: Free
Game release (Nov 22 est): 49.99 Normal 79.99 Collectors
If game is released on the date that is estimated......
Pre-Release
Cost of a 3 week subscription to warcraft is 15.95
Cost of a 2 week subscroption to warcraft is free
Cost of Testing 3 weeks 15.95/21=0.76 Cost of Testing 2 Weeks 0/21=FREE
Release+3 week Pre-Release
Purchase the regular game with 3 week pre-release subscription (51 days of play time) 49.99+15.95=65.94/51=1.29 per day to play
Purchase the CE game with 3 week pre-release subscription (51 days of play time) 79.99+15.95=95.94/51=1.88 per day to play
Release + 2 week Pre-Release
Purchase the regular game with 2 weeks pre-release subscription (44 days of play time)
49.99/44=1.14 per day to play
Purchase the CE game with 2 week pre-release subscription (44 days of play time)
79.99/44=1.82 per day to play
Interesting statistics on the cost of a day to play fi you wait or if you get a subscription to fileplanet. All this assumes a 30 day free subscription with purchase of the game.

It's better for new subscribers though. I subscribed to FP for the first stress test so I spent a bit more time paying and not playing WoW between then and now.
Fileplanet offers some good stuff so i've been a subscriber for a while. Now, if only they let us Euro players in instead of crapping on us from a great height at every turn

That sucks. At least there will be a local server for you guys though (closed beta and eventually retail). I'm currently playing L2 and they've been asking for a Euro server for months and the game has been out for 6 months or so.
Are you sure there won't be an open beta on the Euro server? I haven't read anything about it but it seems like there would be since they're having a closed beta over there.
why pay 15.95, when you don´t have to?
