I am looking for a western style or a colonial era mmorpg... anything out or in development?
Bring on Diablo 3!

If by western you mean wild west than yes there are 2 in development. There's another thread on the next page about western MMO's that has a link to one of them. The other is under development by Tenderfoot games. They have the(part of?) combat portion of it out here on MMORPG as Wild West Online: Gunfighter. A fun little shoot out Pvp/PvE game.

The closest thing I can think of for a colonial era type game would be Pirates of the Burning Sea.
