I am thinking about getting started with voice chat to allow me to talk to group members. I know very little about it and would like some advice please.
I read that EQ2 was going to play nice and not block ports associated with voice chat. What is the best voice chat software, service, hardware, etc.?

No idea if EQ2 includes voice chat, but the nifty lil program Team Speak works pretty well in counter-strke and other games like that.
voice chat is awsome for any on-line game that requres even minimal teamwork. I've used several, but I like TeamSpeak the best. Not that the others are bad, they all work about the same from my experience, I just like the TS interface. www.goteamspeak.com
ventrilo is a good one also. that's what people usually use for mmo's. its nice if you get a channel for your guild to use and always be able to speak to guild members.
