Do u think Blizzard will be checking IP's when the sign up for Open beta begins like fileplanet did with the stress test? i hope i wont have to actually try and work out how to use a damn proxy thingy

    ohhh yeh i hope they wont check it as well...

    would be a real shame if they do i dont even understand the point of the only us open beta...

    if it is open then it is openimage stop giving euro players such a hard time.

    Get the client and get signed up....if you have those things you'll be able to play.

    Well I'm in UK and I've been looking around for an answer to this. I read on another website that people in spain and mexico got keys without any trouble but they never said if they could register an account and I can't register on the forum to ask them.

    I decided to get an $8 sub to FP to try it out and spread the word if it's possible. Still waiting on a key but if one comes I'll post here that I got it and if I could connect to the servers but it could be a while as I've heard people are waiting up to 20+ hours.

    I just can't belive Blizzard are turning there backs on Europe. I mean they have made the effort to make a Mac version of the game which is a good thing, however I think if they'd spent that money on Europe servers/better US servers which we could join, then they'd be better off in the end.

    Oh well hope it gets sorted soon.

    Why can’t players in other countries participate in the final stress test and open beta test?
    The final stress test and open beta test are being conducted for the North American launch servers. We will eventually be conducting open beta tests in Europe and other regions in which we have announced the game’s upcoming availability.

    Yeh inferno i am downloading the client now except i didnt sign up for the fileplanet thing am gonna be signing up for open beta when they says it starts so i was just wondering. Seeing that u managed to get through fileplanet ok then i am guessing there will be no trouble signing up with blizzard later on.

    I have already created my account with Blizz without any problems.  I will let you all know if I manage to get in without a hitch once the client is finished.

    Hey look I'm about to kill my flatemate Sticks as he is bothering me about WOW. So I'm just wondering how it's getting along as I'm bored of the election stuff on TV and I'm pulling my hair out as I'm a total geek and really want to play.

    I hope those FP b*****ds send me a key otherwise I'll set Sticks and SLick on them.

    Downloaded, unziped and installing fine so far.....about 75% of the way through the instal which takes a good 15-20 mins.

    Then I get to test if my login works as promised....thats what i'm afraid isn't going to work at this point.

    Yeah thats what I'm worried about too. Although I think it could be possible to set up a proxy if it give us hassle about our ip addresses. Thanks for keeping me informed dude.

    Ahahah oh dear.

    Failed to install on the very last bit....large error message about a corrupt file.  Giving it one last go but then its bed time for me and figure a workaround in the morning.

    Yeah fair enough about going to bed. I think I'm about 8/10 on obsessed fan level atm.

     But hey I've got 20 mins till my dl is finished so if you want either tonight or tomorrow I can try sending you a replacement file for your corrupt one. Might work although mine might be corrupt too. Will need to see. Hope it works this time!!

    I have another download running at the same time, 64% on that one so i'll leave it going overnight.

    I have read many posts about this, one guy has had 4 corrupt DL's in a row...ouch
