The free welcome back weeks NEVER start on the 12AM of that day. You could have just asked someone here.
Why should I have to ask HERE? I looked at the official forums. You think I have ever did a comeback trial for LOTRO? No I have not. Why was time not posted on their website? When I spoke to the gentleman he says he gets that ALL THE TIME when the free weeks are up. So one would assume that their information is not up front or needs more clarification.
Again, I got an email at 10:30am EST. Why would you send me a second email if it was not then active then? That alone is fishy. I do not honestly care, my money was never CHARGED to my credit card, as there is a 24hour delay on any funds Chris said for any issues like these in place and Turbine was outstanding on their customer support regardless of their odd hours of operation. Then again, I've never had any issue with any companies customer support be it NCsoft, SOE, or Turbine to name a few game companies I've dealt with involving account issues.

They're shady because you subscribed to a three month payment plan to attempt to recieve a free week of play time? Not every company runs the same promotional campaigns, and either you were too lazy or unwilling to look into how to go about recieving the free play time.
Either way, I hope that free week was worth 30 bucks.
At least read what I wrote if your going to reply to my post. I never got charged $30.00 bucks.
Either a lot of people didn't take the offer or already were on 3+ month subs and just stayed on it.
The default upgrade button brought you to a page to chose a sub plan along with prices and at the top was the adventure pack ad along with the price. At the bottom it listed your total.
If you didn't realise the ad was actually part of your total... bam you now have the adventure pack. I almost got dinged since it looked way out of place and not part of the sales portion but saw the total was wrong so I cancelled. Using the reactivate or whatever button brought you to the same page minus the adventure pack ad where the total was just the sub plan selected.
I'm going to guess a lot of people took the out of place ad as just an ad and not a line on the sales slip.
I tried calling - I was on hold for 20 min long distance (no 800 #) with no answer. So, I sent an email and received canned responses. I will have my cc company reverse the charges. It amazes me that companies that think they can use side channel gimmicks and deception to increase revenue. In the short term it may work, but long term the 'once bitten, twice shy' card gets played.
Sure, this is clearly a troll by the way.
Either that or an idiot.
Try calling Turbine Chewbacca - let me know how long it took to get through.

Had to phone three times in three different days. At worst took me 15 minutes to get an operator.
