Do you live in 0.0 or low sec?

BlackWizardsBlackWizards Member Posts: 173

I am curious, it seems like the vast majority of EVE players never leave empire, safe empire at that.

So I am curious, how many you live out in nullsec, or low sec even for that matter?

Do you enjoy it?

I live in 0.0..... sort of.

Actually, I live in a wormhole, and while its 0.0 space I'd have to call it the "light" version since access to it is limited and it is much safer than traditional 0.0.

Once the expansion comes out my corp might relocate to actual 0.0 if we can find a good alliance to hook up with and run wormhole ops from there.

You're missing an option there OP

As some one who has always lived in nullsec, with a few brief vacations into low sec, I don't that is ever a true statement. As soon as you can fly a battle cruiser well enough, you can make about the same amount of money in 0.0 as you would doing lvl 4 missions. Granted this will depend on having a corp that backs you up some, and not being constantly station camped.

But if you want to go into low sec lets say, and you don't have a ton of money, just fly a really cheap full insured ship. A cheaply fit battlecruiser can cost like 1-4mil to lose, and if your really broke, you fly rifters in low/null and lose almost nothing if you die. Thanks my thoughts on that any way.

The saying "Never fly what you cannot afford to lose." should mean every one in eve can afford to fly in 0.0, except maybe people on their trial.

Do you live in Empire, low or Null sec? ........YES!    : )

Null for roaming, low for exploration and Empire for missions. This is really more of a corp thing than anything else. It will be interesting to see If Dominion changes any of this.

Hehe I like that answer. I hope Dominion changes this, but my alliance (don't want to say here because of spais, but you've most likely heard of us) plans to rape any one who tries to take sov in systems where we want to keep, even though we won't be taking actual sov there ourselves. Hard to predict how it will turn out, but if there is a mass migration to nullsec I will be so stoked.

sort of the same boat. We are part of an alliance we formed, and are a greatcrew of casual members. No due or restrictions, and we live in a wormhole at the moment, but we really want to make the move to true null sec

nullsec, my alliance recently claimed two constellations and things are looking good for dominion isk wise.

if your corp is looking for an alliance i hear that sylph are recruiting pretty much anyone who they can get to join.

Interesting results so far, 50% live in high sec in a dedicated way. For those of you who never do go into low sec, what do you mostly spend your time doing when playing the game? No hate just curious =)

Stuck in the hangar because of War-Deccing and Corp Rules.

I'd like to eventually work my way to Null Sec, still have a lot to learn first.

lowsec pirate here. Tried the non-flashy life, but it was too dull and required more time then i wanted to give.

I live everywhere. Don't ask how and no it's not wormholes. And I also claim discrimintation for I do not have an option for "everywhere".

    This is not a game.

I live in 0.0 and only ever visit empire for fast travel or to get supplies.
Highsec is way too crowded for my taste. It makes pvp extremely annoying with neutral repping alts, station camping and wardecs.
Lowsec is a bit less annoying, but all the different rules of flagging towards sentries and the ship restrictions that are a direct result of it make lowsec just as annoying as highsec.

0.0, however, allows for an environment with free and inventive pvp without arbitrary bounds. But most important is that i know most people i encounter. I already know if they're hostile towards me or not.
Another thing is that 0.0 enforces teamwork. Teamwork requires and builds trust. I know my corpmates won't screw me over if i need help since we've been working together for years now.

0.0, lowsec, or highsec, it doesnt matter. wherever the action is, is fine by me

    Two accounts, two main alts:

    - One alt is a suicidal 0.0 combat pilot with more losses under his belt than most.

    - The other one is a money making bastard that never leaves empire (she has no combat skills at all), she is the one paying for her boyfriend's loses.

The other four alts have very few skills and are in fact expendable frigate pilots used to scout, lure enemies, open cynos, etc..., they move around high, low and nullsec as required.

Played: UO, SWG, TR, WoW, AoC, EvE
    Playing: :(
    Interested in: JGE, LotR, TSW

The only thing stopping me from doing just that is my pride at the moment. :-|

Money making in 0.0 is such a painful exercise..

Low sec space for me.  It actually feels dangerous.  I've tried joining one of the large null sec alliances, it was too boring.  I had to travel at least 5 jumps from our base system to find a non blue.  From my experience most of null sec is either so empty or so full of blues that it is safer than high sec space.

Yeah I have had this experience before. I joined a NRDS corp a long time ago, with out knowing what it meant, and I felt like I was in empty empire most of the time. Really depends on were you are though, and how many naps you corp makes with your nieghbors. Some corps try to make EVERY ONE blue just so they can feel safe, but then they complain that they have nothing to do lol.

I think like most people in nullsec, about half my toons live in high sec to make money to afford the half that live in nullsec.  That may change, I really dislike the changes in dominion to make nullsec more like empire, only more expensive.  Limiting myself to only one part of Eve is, well, limiting.

Dislike lowsec tho.  Combines the worst of nullsec and empire and none of the advantages.

lol, what do you get for having a 10 standing with CN? Is that what you need for a high sec pos?

It has no benefit. The highest corp standing you'd ever need is 8.0 for jumpclones. There's one corp in cosmos that you'd more for, but not really relevant. 7.0 is the highest faction standing you'd ever need to put up a highsec pos..(or was it 6.0? either way, not relevant..)

10.00 Navy or another corp  standings pointless , faction standings always usefull ,4 empire factions give 2run Navy ship bpcs at 9.x (frig/cruiser/BS , standing needs change for ship type)

I live in 0.0.. part NPC part true. I play guerrilla style pvp games and yawn fest blob warfare.  I usually stay away from blobs and focus on smaller stuff. I cant stand low sec pvp its too restricted. I only go to highsec when I need to take my JF up for resupply and to sell my ABC mins.
