I would have to say I enjoy Nagrand out of all of "zones" in WoW.  Ironicly I didn't enjoy BC much at all.  But Blizzard made up for BC with WotLk.

    Kick to the Face.

There's several, I really liked Howling Fjord and Nagrand. And in the old world, Azshara. I did like the whole Durotar, Barrens, 1k Needles, and Mulgore area though. Eh, old world WoW had some pretty memorable areas. But I have to Rank the Fjord as number one. The atmosphere and music was just fantastic.

Stranglethorn Vale. On a PvP server it was so chaotic.

    Azeroth - Azshara and Un'Guro

    Outlands - Nagrand

    Northrend - Sholazar Basin

I can't really nail it down to one zone or specific spot. I really like lush jungle environments though obviously. 8)

Duskwood, Desolace, Azshara, Burning Steepes. They all have a diffrent feel and get mentioned for diffrent reasons.

Netherstorm and ShadowmoonValley. BladesEdge has cool parts. Hellfire was fun the FIRST time. after that its just an easy zone to grind in.

Nowhere in Wotlk is very cool except for Icecrown but i liked leveling in DragonSpire(only cuz of the DragonFlights) and Zul'Drak.

Can stand for hours there. Magnificent rain effects just like in AB sometimes.
I miss the rain in the expansions. The sparse snowfall in Northrend isn't comparable.
Although in Northrend the design of Fjords and Grizzly Hills zones are the best yet.

I know that spot. indeed it has that epic feel to it. i remeber first exploring that harbor with a nightelf and seeing a high lvl player(at the time anyway. he was in his 50's) murdering mobs that were still skulls to me. thinking how badass it all looked. that was about 3 years ago for me lol.

the lack of snowfall in Northrend is a moodkiller. and the biggest thing i dont like about Northrend is how 'comfortable' all our troops look there. I felt like by the time I got to northrend i was late(i had it at midnight though the day it came out ><) and they already had Arthas pinned down in his castle, carefully making apperances just to scare us. i'm not dissing the game. this is just what hurt WOTLK for my personal immersion.

but, i have to agree the attention to detail on the landscapes in WOTLK were improved way beyond the previous zones.

the biggest thing that hurts it for me is mainly personal preference. i'm bored with all the snow (like i knew i would be lol) and just don't feel like Northrend is as unwelcoming as it should be. like having a Tournament right nextdoor to the enemy just seems a little strange. makes me feel like Arthas is scared and we are showing how much we don't fear him by having these arena battles right down the road from him. I know that can easily be the case in the storyline (that as we progress in lvl we have techniclly beat him back) but it kills alot of roleplaying, going to a jousting tourney when there are undead bases surronding me.

personally i can't wait for Cataclysm so i can see the changes to the old world. too bad Desolace won't be as desolate. but oh well. the idea behind it is fresh. I'm just hoping that moving the Orc capitol will increase world Pvp in that area and Darnassus will increase in player population. It's such a cool city to be empty all the time and since so many changes are being done to the map ( and there will not be a new expac main hub like shatt and dal) the old world capitols will fill back up. would be nice.

    Easily Tanaris. Because of:

    1) Surreal desertscape leading  to the sea. Has a wonderful sense of tranquility.

    2) Ethereal music. Might be my favourite mood piece in the game.

    3) Gadgetzan itself with its no-nonsense goblin inhabitants and mock-Thunderdome. Just the place to come "crashing down" - engineers will know what I'm talking about. ;)

EDIT: Also, the dock in this map is probably my favorite fishing spot in the game. I'd say a good place to learn "alert fishing", heh.

Good times ... good times.  Even after 5 years, you can count on a good amount of PvP in ole STV.

Duskwood comes in as a close second.

If you stand VERY still, and close your eyes, after a minute you can actually FEEL the universe revolving around PvP.

Stratholme, still my favourite dungeon and visually most impressive part of the game. I still remember the first time I got there and still have some screenshots I took that time. The burning city, falling ash, red sky, the whole place, I was never again impressed by any other place in WoW like that time.

Tanaris, like the sand storm, Desolace near the fp, SOS, near the sea, and Barrens, love the big land mass...

hmmm I'd say top is STV.

STV was just a glorious zone, very vibrant, full of variation and quests galore. Visually it was and still is nice to just relax in, and I'm glad they part kept it relevant by adding the fishing contest etc. If cata majourly changes STV I will be pretty sad.

Next is probably Ungoro Crater - same kind of reasons as STV much darker but visualy very excellant, roaming about with the dinos was fun and terrifying, who knew when a bigun was going to lurch round a tree to really test your character. Got to love the nintendo references too, always worth a chuckle. And with the various gathering quests and things it really introduced a lot of the mechanics the game uses today.

Finally probably the area between Tarren Mill and Southshore. As a day one player growing up in the pvp heyday, I will never ever forget what went down there. Had to turn graphics right down and put resolution to 800x600 just to squeeze 10-15fps out back on my first pc. So many people, such wars!

Commendable zones would be Sholazar Basin and Wintergrasp. Nice zones but ultimately replicas of what once was.
