Does anyone notice how buggy the game is? In all aspects? I have both MO and Darkfall and it seems that there are much more random bugs in MO that affect gameplay badly. Yeah it's in beta right now but it's still not fun at its current state... It feels so boring like theres nothing to do really.

but if they fix it this game gonna be neat. so cant u wait?
now: GW2 (11 80s).
Dark Souls 2.
future: Mount&Blade 2 BannerLord.
"Bro, do your even fractal?"
Recommends: Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls, Mount&Blade: Warband, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
Surely this has to rank among the most useless whines ever.
Well it is basically an incomplete game, released at least 6-12 months early really.
I am not sure going with RP elements instead of PVP will keep people supporting the game till it gets fleshed out.
DF went with massive PVP to keep people interested until they fully fleshed out the game (now with second expansion) so big guilds fighting basically supported the game since release, and just now RP elements are added.
But really it needs a lot of work
#1. OH NO! BUGS IN A BETA! Who woulda thunk it? God, MO sucks so bad and DF is so awesome. Screw MO.
#2. To Einstein (your name is very inaccurate): Released 6-12 months too early? I sure hope you're not talking about MO, seeing as MO hasn't released yet.
/facepalm
Hes saying the game should be pushed back by about 6months.
Games:
Currently playing:Nothing
Will play: Darkfall: Unholy Wars
Past games:
Guild Wars 2 - Xpiher Duminous
Xpiher's GW2
GW 1 - Xpiher Duminous
Darkfall - Xpiher Duminous (NA) retired
AoC - Xpiher (Tyranny) retired
Warhammer - Xpiher

Hey, I agree with that. But he used past tense ("released") so I thought he was talking about MO somehow, which would mean he has no knowledge of the game (ignorant), doesn't understand that MO is in beta (stupid), or is a troll (troll).
Actually, now that I think about it, the title of the thread is "I don't understand." The OP doesn't understand that a beta has bugs? The OP doesn't understand why Star Vault decided to lift the NDA when there are so many bugs and the game isn't "ready"? The OP doesn't understand that Star Vault won't release the thing tomorrow? I don't understand what the OP doesn't understand.
Just read the reponses from the MO fans/fanbots/blindfans/fanboys/fangirls.... You guys are giving the community a bad impression
Are you kidding with me? They are releasing in December, since they themselves said it and NDA just came down. And they will release it 6 months early at the least
go /facepalm yourself if you dont agree with me, I could care less

They themselves have actually said they are aiming for a Q4 launch and the launch date has yet to be set in stone, until a game has announced an official release date plan on it being pushed back. People that follow games should know this.....
For someone making their name as Einstein you certainly don't think things through, you tend to /facepalm yourself in the first place lol.

You sure owned me there buddy.
My point still stands.
Yup.
We need more people like you.
Who obviously forget what DF was like when it released.
Or that it's been released for like 8 months now.
Yeah man.

Gimme the name of one game that wasn't released early and I will give you a reason why it was.
What I don't think a lot of people understand is that the company prducing this is not large at all. They are making a very large and pretty darn good-looking game. They need money. DF did almost the same thing when it launched, now being 8 or so months after launch and it's finally getting into the swing of things with a stable income.
Mortal online doesn't have a lot of the features installed yet, they are just testing the most vital ones and removing bugs right now. They are going to add 6-9 (can't remember) times the land and a bunch of new features at launch and then debug as things come up. That way they can get more money to keep creating the game. If they ran out of money from their producer, than it's really the only logical thing to do. Either way, you can't compare it to a game that's been released for the greater half of a year. That's just unfair.
I personally like it better than DF already, though. It's the only MMO (save for CoH) where I've played it for more than 3 hours straight the first time I played it. It takes a little getting used to, but it's still fun. Plus I like the idea of making my own house wherever I want...Mountain fortress, here I come!
Lol, some people seem to forget that I play both games.. DF community eh.. In MO, all I do is hit a rock, make weapons and armor , kill jumpy mobs that seem to lag, walk around, fight people, ride around more looking at cities... What I'm trying to say is, how can this be fun? I know its BETA or else I wouldn't be playing it ffs. Some people just don't read
Some patches introduce some bugs like the last one introduced lag bug that often return you movement few seconds back. That happens often and such things happen even on released games on test servers. In general game need much more work but everything that is currently in game is great and point to the right direction.
I think that 1-2 months will be enough to complete base functionality of the game and make it ready for release.
Of course as they officialy stated it will be much better if can continue development as much as possible. The nice thing is that SV is trying to introduce things step by step so they can release basic finished working mechanics instead many unfinished.
Where themepark games try to hide that they are copying WOW, games like Mortal Online and Darkfall make no attempt to hide their inspiration

With all respect Fariic, but I played DF beta and I play MO beta and I have to say that DF's client was much more playable in February then MO is now. DF released in March, right now I don't see MO launching in Decemeber.

IF MO had been in development for 8 years like Darkfall, then MO would be a lot more stable than it is now.

That's very possible, I wouldn't know though. I wasn't in DF's beta.
I do know that there is a LOT of network lag going on in MO that makes the game run something awful, and that lag makes the gameplay about as bearable as DF was a launch.
I don't know if they'll make the Dec. launch myself.
I think a lot of it's dependant upon the last two patches, and if they can get the server running right.
I do know that if the game runs the way it should, and they have everything that's supposed to be there for launch in by the end of Dec. it'll be in a state that it can launch.
Prepare to castrate me.
MO will launch in much the same state as WoW.
Yes,
I said it.
There will be bugs, the server will be ruff, it will have only the base content. For the kind of game WoW is, that's basically how it released, with unstable servers, bugs, and no endgame content.
I think its irrelevent to compare development times here. Also, who cares what Darkfall was like when launched. This is a different game, please move on and try to keep your opinions on other games to their respective threads.
The point most people are interested in is if MO will launch buggy and unpolished against the warning of its customers/fans.
If MO is to release in December they will be needing to overhaul the game a FUCKOLOAD. or it will be a massivey poor launch. (Note, I am not trying the bash MO, I have interest in playing it when it is live, just being logical here...MO has a long ways to go before it is release ready).
Thats nonsense. WOW wasn't missing its crafting system, most of its skills, most of its mobs, it wasn't terribly buggy, 2 months before release.

Really?
I guess the only thing I can say is,
NO SHIT!
WoW wasn't made by 18 people either.
Blizzard wasn't an indipendant company making thier first game.
WoW doesn't allow you to craft something like 1.4 million things.
And this isn't WoW.
It's MO, and it's still in BETA.
It's rumored that the next patch will have the crafting system in.
The important thing is. When it is put in, we know it should work for the most part, we've been testing the base mechanics of it for like 4 months now. They only need to test the actually minigame.
But then,
They also said the game would release with basic crafting.
For all I know, what's there now is basic crafting.
But will the basic futures at launch keep many of its supporters? Is it enough to make the game enjoyable?
