After I watched the "Future Trailer" from Aion, I am so sure this is the game I'm looking for !!!! I am going out to buy it now !!! The questions that I always ask myself what kind of content in MMO that I will be choosing to play, mostly the answers will be "LOOKS, ARMORS and WEAPONS" and "HOUSING". Now Aion totally showed me the ART STYLE. I mean, this game probably the best in the market recording to Art Style. Just to watching this game, I felt like wanting to be an artist!!! So, No doubt Aion is my cup of tea !!
Now next is, which server should I join ?? =p Anyone recruiting???

3.0 will rock the MMO world, the people who are talking it down are just trolls who have already made a stand against the game and are continuing on any bottom of the barrel arguments they can think of.

I bought it, but I am having trouble deciding which server to play on.
what i woudl suggest is make a character of the race you want, then go to the map and look at the abyss. see if its balanced on how many forts each side has or if your side is being completely dominated. some servers are completely lop sided on fortress taking. the populations are pretty even but some servers the abyss is dominated by one side or the other. like mine the abyss was dominated by the elyos because it seems more powergamers rolled elyos on that server where the asmo have been taking their time leveling. but as we catch up on levels we're taking forts more and more a few times we had more than they did. so its evening out now.

Uhm...I don't know about your server, but on mine, fortresses change hands every day, so one day you'll see Elyos having 90% of the abyss controlled, and the next day you'll see Asmos having 90% of the abyss controlled, the sides are balanced, but this balance doesn't show up in the charts usually.
all the servers are very populated it just boils down to what faction you prefer. Go to the main site then go to server statistics. GIves you all you need to know about each.

I guess they need more people in the server to enjoy the game right ??
or actually more people in the server will help you enjoy more in higher level content?? (such as PvPvE)
Alright I'm now a lvl 4 Mage so far in Elyos on Vaizel server. I made a little tiny Girl Character (which is pretty cute to be honest , I'll post some pics soon) and having a good time.
I do agree so far the animation is a little bit of dull, but I do really giving kudos on art styles and designing. There aren't any games out here having such a fantasy feel as Aion. Also from now I am manage to kill a mob within 2-3 hits from my fireballs, but I am having hard time to replenish my mana faster. (maybe here need some suggestion).
I'll keep it update on hows my experience and impression to Aion so far !!
All I can say is so far it was pleseant. Hopefully when I met up my old guildmates and things will start to hook up even faster!
the content patch is over a year away unless this rumor of them applying it during 2.0 is true. It will be about a year when they apply patch 2.0 which basically means 3.0 will be a year following.

All depends how you define "enjoy". Busier servers mean more enemy players roaming the rift zones and for the most part you better get used to running (30% running scrolls are essential).
I enjoy the challenge, but it would be nice to run into just one enemy player that wasn't 30+ in the 20 something zones.

Thx for advice. But I guess no MMO that doesn't need Grind. Grind sometime did gave more rewarding feelings when you achieved.
Oh well, I won't be those "Max levels in 2 weeks" guy, so I'll go with the flow!!

You can easily get to level 20 in 1 day to 30 in a few more and after that if your casual about it about 1 level a day.

You can restore mana and health fast by sitting down with comma (,) key.
