Looking for a very customizable game

avediasavedias Member Posts: 118

I have recently been playing Fallen Earth and realized my favorite part(and now seems to be nonexistant) of playing MMOs was the customization. I'm not talking about your hair style or eye color, I'm talking about a stat system such as Asheron's Call where you can invest in your main attributes(ie. strength, coord, quick, focus etc...)and it effects the ability of certain skills(ie healing, sword, run, jump, melee defense). Lately it seems like all games automatically assign what's going to be raised as you level, and I don't like it.

If you know a game that has this system(and again, i'm a seasoned veteran of asherons call and currently playing fallen earth) please let  me know. Not looking for anything too old, I want something with a decent player base. Thanks!

Try DDO, has a lot of the D20 stats and skills, with enhancements on top of them. Massive variety in builds, even before multi-classing.

Dungeons & Dragons Online or Guild Wars

Eh, tried DDO and got bored. It also crashes my computer for some reason. I'm running a 2.8 dual core, 4 gigs ram and a 8800gt gfx card, no reason for that game to crash on me.

Guild Wars is a fun game, but only for a short period for me. Not really the customization I'm talking about though.

Yeah, so far community seems very friendly and I do like the "stanza" customization to skills. Seems like an alright game, don't have a well rounded opinion yet. Really disliking the inability to jump though.

Not joking here but hit up Champions Online. Download it now because it is free until Monday. The customization of the game cannot be beat by -any- MMOs and I mean that....I made a 2nd character, after my first, and it took me one hour to final choose. So many amazing things to do with it. Even if someone does not like this game the customization is amazing.

CO's not really my style, not a fan of the superhero style games at all. I'm more of a sword and dragon type guy myself. Thanks though.

EVE, darkfall and MO? you train whatever you want in all those games, no restrictions what so ever.

EVE - tried once a few yrs back, really don't like the sci-fi spaceship stuff, not my thing.

Darkfall - I thought this game was still only sold in scarce batches or whatever? Is there a trial?

MO-this game isn't out at all yet, right?

--No that was for a controlled release, now you can buy the game whenever you want but sadly they still dont have a trial.

--It's suppose to come in december and i hear open beta is really soon, so keep your eye open for that and check it out then before buying.

thanks for the info. i was kinda one of those people that was die-hard darkfall til i actually saw gameplay, haha. now, sadly, i wont play until i get some sort of trial. does seem up my alley though, along with MO. I kinda feel like MO might be what I'm really in search of. Thanks again!
