Warnings For Potential Players

If you enjoy this game, fine, good for you.  However, this thread is not going to display Runes of Magic or Frogster in a positive light nor is it intended to.

You will: Have to Grind to reach the currently level cap of 55 if you take a second class.

You will: Have to deal with nearly every patch going wrong and taking forever to update your client..

You will: Have to deal with gold bots who like to whisper.

You will: Get poor customer service.

You will: Be banned for expressing yourself if you're opinion isn't "I love Frogster.".

You will: Have to spend money to be able to do end game instances or spend the majority of your day grinding to achieve the same level of ability.

You will: Deal with scams and iffy business practices.  Such as a rare mount being advertised as one time only, rare and for a crazy high price only to have them sell it again a month later for less then a quarter of the price.

You will: Want to rip your hair out if you PVP.

I am not a noob who played the game for three days and then gave up.  I played until just recently, starting week one of open beta.  In the beginning  I adored Runes of Magic but as time went on the problems got worse and Frogster continued to put nails in the coffin as it were.  The result is everything listed above.

Players Be Warned.

And this folks is why you never treat a f2p game like a real mmo (p2p).

Think of it as a trial and move on.

Stick to p2p games dude your complaints happen in near every pos f2p game.

POS is right and believe me, I'm not making the mistake again.  The XBOX is more worth my money then RoMs CS any day.

that's what happens when you play these kinda f2p games, you'll probably end up paying more than you would for a p2p game.

heh, I played RoM for about five hours total across a three week span and knew the game was near worthless.

Honestly why bother? I would rather just play WoW.

15 bucks a month for WoW is better than dropping all that cash in Rom for a sub standard copy.

There is only lack of quests for latest 2-5 levels (not enough for both classes), which need to be filled with dailies, but there are raidable dailies, so not much problem, unless you want to speed it (is possible to get to 55 level on secondary using only those dailies - it will just take some days). I played few other games before and usually, you will end up quests much faster before reaching end levels. Grind in RoM is really very small compared to other games.

Strangely, i didn't had such problems. Do i play different game?

Which is sadly common in f2p games. Good point in RoM is addons, there are nice addons, which can instanly blacklist those bots. I wish i could kill some of those bots, too bad i'm not on pvp server ;p

Yes, yes, just seek for another game, if you like pvp.

Of course, RoM is far from ideal, but is much better then most of other f2p games and lots of p2p. If you don't like it, just don't play it.

5 hours of gameplay and you already know all about game? Play WoW if you prefer it.
