What game/version for PvP?

To make a long story short I am looking to get a game for my son.  He is in college and loves PvP.  He used to play WoW but has closed his account and he mentioned he would like to find a game he could PvP in but didn't have to spend tons of hours getting ready for it or the time required to play the game/PvP.  Something he could log and play for 30 mins or less when he has time (taking 18 hours :) )  I have started looking at GW and CoX.

Anyone have some advice to offer and if so what version/games do I need.  I see there is a PvP version and many others.

    either grab the trilogy pack, or the one with Prophacies and Nightfall.  Eye of the north (while nice) isn't quite as important for PvP, the 3 stand alones however bring a lot to it.

    Everything creates huge amounts of negativity on the internet, that's what the internet is for: Negativity, porn and lolcats.

    Trilogy pack is the best choice for PvP, GW:EN is really not important in PvP, because it is a PvE based expansion.
