Decent Grindy Asian MMO

RealmLordsRealmLords Member Posts: 358

Any suggestions on a decent grindy Asian MMORPG?

Looking for something that doesn't have a lot of quests or storyline.  Preferably F2P but would consider box or sub for right game.

Suggestions?

I hear Requiem is pretty good, along with Ragnarok by the same company.

    There's also Aion. xD

Hey Sir, good to see ya!

    Off to check out Requim.

Tried Cabal Online and that didn't last 10 minutes.  Something about click to move that feels wrong to me.  I like asdw with strafe and mouse look.

Aight. Keep me updated on if you're good with that or not.

If nothing else, there's always one of the two Lineage games. ;)

Well, Cabal does have WASD movement... except you have to Q and E to strafe. And it feels horrid at best. :P

Ragnarok is an awesome game, but I've heard the official's community is horrible (and it's also infested with bots). You're better off trying the many p-servers it has... some of which boast a better community than the official. Very addictive game, though.

And there's always all the Nexon games to look at. And Fiesta/Flyff and those other ones as well.

I've played on some really fun private Ragnorak Online servers. I'd definetely recommend it. Same with Perfect World International - fantastic game with a lot of really unusual but interesting features (if having my friend carry me around bridal-style everywhere is wrong, I don't want to be right. ^.^).

Also, it's not really Asian, but Runes of Magic is what WoW would have been if it had been F2P (IMHO).

Soul of the Ultimate Nation is pretty good.

    Silkroads has some cool features

    Conquer Online

Continent of the Ninth,  not released in the US but really really good.  Really instantanced but it is hack and slash.  It basically concist of a few common hub cities then lots of 20-40 minute dungeons that you can do with a team or singular.

Yeah, it's Ken. I'm pretty sure he's just looking for a timesink MMO in between projects.

However, Ken, if your secret project is a grinder, after all the work you've put into RealmLords to step away from that, we're gonna have to talk, lol.

Conquer Online isn't grindy at all. Not only can you literally use real cash to purchase your levels, but it's possible to hit level 130 in less than half a day. Considering that the level cap is 137, and the highest level gear is still 130...

Lineage 2 is the only one that comes to mind.
