Oh wow anybody here watch wrestling back in the 80's

Man almost all those old school guys are dead now. Check out this article and even some of them are ladies like that Queen Elizabeth, Sensational Sherri. Pretty sad, also it tells how they died and their ages. None of them made it past 50 except 1 that died of natural causes Captain Lou Albano.

Most of them died from drug overdoses or heart failure(Likely from the massive amounts of steroids/drugs they took.)

    Heh.

Wow, I grew up watching most of these performers. I had no idea so many of them had passed away, especially of drug overdose related deaths.

    Sad :(

I used to work at the front desk of a hotel in the '90's.

I had the pleasure of meeting The Bushwaakers, King Kong Bundy, Razor Ramone, Diesel, Owen Hart, JJ Jeff Jerrod, Luna Vashon...can't remember anyone else.

Razor Ramone was really nice and stopped and signed every kids autograph.  Owen Hart was impatient telling him to hurry up and didn't give any autographs.  Later on Owen Hart was whining that some kids found out what room he was in and they were knocking on his door and running away.  Some kids slid a note (that he brought to the front desk the next day) saying that they didn't want his autograph anyways and that they thought he sucked.

JJ came down to the front desk at 3 in the morning wrapped in only a towel.  He was looking for a condom machine in the bathroom.  I told him that is in the bar bathroom which was closed at the time so I got security to come and JJ gave him some money and the security guard came back with a couple handfuls of condoms.  He was earlier spotted with Luna Vashon...

    Good times...

Edit:  I also remember that the Bushwaakers went to the bar that was full of hockey players because the hotel was full of players from a tournament.  They start doing their Bushwaaker crazy thing and called out all the hockey players saying they heard they were all a bunch of faggots.  No one took the bait.

    Bam Bam Bigelow

Scott Bigelow began his wrestling career in 1987 with the WWE. Bigelow's biggest match was taking on NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor in Wrestlemania XI, a match he lost.

In July 2000, Bigelow received second-degree burns on 40 percent of his body rescuing three children from a burning house.

He was found dead on Jan. 19, 2007, inside his Florida home at the age of 45. Cocaine was found in his system at the time of his death.

That's pretty interesting and sad actually. I recognize 90% of them too, since the WWF was at the peak of it's popularity during my teen years. It makes you wonder why anyone would want to be in that industry...

    Money and fame?

I'd rather be a star for 10-15 years than live to 80 as a nobody.

Yeah, I remember it seeming like all the Von Erichs were dying off left and right. Except for Fritz.

Fritz died back in the late 90s. Kevin von Erich is the only surviving family member. Kerry, Chris and Mike commited suicide, David died in 1984 and the unknown son Jack drowned when he was only young.

Terry Gordy is dead too btw ^
