Well, my sub ends next week and I haven't played so mush wow the past month.
Because a lack of interest and alot of RL issues.. I've done everything I wanted to do, I got the gear I want,... been there done that... I got bored...
But annyway after the servers went online again i logged in and tried it out myself.
And I have to say, this patch isn't that bad. The crossrealm lfg system is one of the best things blizz ever added to the game, inmy opinion. Its easy to get a group for dungeons, even low lvl dungeons! Now It's worth it again to do dungeons on lower lvls in stead of rushing to 80 . The new added dungeons are nice, but actually more of the same. I tanked forge of souls with my dk and it wasn't that hard. Oke we wiped cause we didnt knew te tacs.. but once you know what to do then its easy. And getting good gear is even more easier now! good for most people who want good gear but dont have the time for playing hardcore. But its just the same again. I'm not sure I'll resub, wow doesn't give me the feeling it once did.. I havent tested the other new features yet...
but annyway, let's discuss it!
what do you guys think about the 3.3 patch?

I just resubbed last week and was suprised with the patch yesterday, the LFG thing is SWEET! I'm only level 55 though. Being 55 means I can't really comment on any of the new endgame things =( Are there any other things in this patch that will be relevant to someone who isnt at the level cap?
well they've added a questhelper-system, so u don't need addons for it now
but most content is indeed endgame

I think the dungeon finder is a great system and also a great foundation for the future cataclysm expansion. As for this patch, I'm not sure how long it'll hold up because it is still the same heroics, barring 3 short icecrown instances, that everyone has been running for the past year. I'm curious to see how the patch will hold on its own a month or two from now. A raid finder feature would've been fantastic imo.
It's 'kay. The best feature is that they finally made loading screens fit to Widescreen monitors.
I'm not joking.
Never been a better time to start playing Warcraft if you've never played.
With the quest helper, and dungeon finder with repeatable rare item rewards for doing random dungeons, leveling and gearing have never been easier.
3.3 is an altaholics dream.
Nothing excites jaded Grandmasters more than a theoretical novelty
Meh. just meh.
All starting areas are devoid of aggro creatures. You can wander to the back of the starting area caves ( Orc/Troll, Gnome/Dwarf, Undead... ) without being killed unless you attack something. You only need to kill the "Boss".
Defias plaguing the vineyard in the Human area don't aggro. I guess the vineyard is the human eqiv of the other caves.
Is "pussified" a word?
All clothies start with staves and starting Rogues can dual wield at lvl 1 and come with 2 daggers.
------- END TRANSMISSION
Meh, i don't miss the days where i might wander out into Nek Forest at level 1 and lose a Head to Head death match with a rat.
I guess some might think that exciting.

im shocked the pugs ive been with dont absolutely suck. in fact, every pug ive been in has gone extremely smooth. actually got the bronze drake reigns on my alt DK in timed COS tonight. everyone in the group had it already.
picked up a lot of achievements with my alt. trying to pug with a DK was like watching paint dry, but with the new LFG system.. just do random and you wont be denied a group because of the overplayed class.

The update is nothing imo,Blizzard has had several years to learn how to create some content, even if they have to copy from other developers. All the players spending everyday doing meaningless boring quests and hanging out in instances is ridiculously boring.
I cannot fathom all those players spending all these years doing that very same thing day in and day out.Blizzard has made so much money yet they have not dedicated a team to creating new content, they have not dedicated a team to revamping low poly textures with hi res,the player models are comical ,no detail the armor has no detail ,just over all bad quality game.I can see it like that for the first months of release ,since it was their first effort, but after the money rolls in like it has, they have NO excuses left, worse is people supporting such a poor developer.
I think that the problem may lay in the fact that Blizzard likes to waste money. They may not be making a very large profit from the game, this is why they continue to put out low budget junk.Their OWNER Vivendi is maybe one of the worst spenders in the world, always buying up anything,i am sure they are sucking a bit from Blizzard as well.
In reality WOW is exactly like a F2P game, looks the same, plays the same,it is just bigger.IMO MORE junk does not equal quality,it just equals more junk.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Right right, we get it you don't like WoW. Personally I think 3.3 is an excellent patch.
In War - Victory.
In Peace - Vigilance.
In Death - Sacrifice.
I am an avid soloer. I have been inside an instance with an actual group (not farming for items on a lower level instance) MAYBE 6 times in the three years that I have played. Well, I just did three last night, and loved it. It was great to be able to just queue up, put in that I want to DPS, and then get teleported in. Then, when I was done, teleport out. It reminds me a lot of the public quests of WAR. No more waiting to get a group, and getting gear checked, and being told they don't need you. No more having someone in the group leave mid dungeun, and need to find a replacement. No more having it impossible to do any of the old world instances with a low level char. My level 37 waited all of 4 seconds.
What I DONT like with it though, is every group I had had at least one retard. I was doing Uldaman with my 37, and a Paladin agroed several mobs, and then started the statue spawnings near the end of the instance, and wiped us. He claimed to do it on purpose, and "could not stop laughing". I was pretty pissed. We ended up finishing though.
You got something objective to say apart from endless adjectives and substantiated accusations to repeat your hatred.
Meaningless boring quests, ridiculously boring, like a F2P, low budge junk, any more adjectives?
Yes we know you hate WoW, that is 1 person. We know 11 million players played WoW somewhere down the road, that is 11million. The chances that you are right is 1 in 11million. The chances that you are wrong is 11million-1 divided by 11million. I would not bet a cent on your side.
Seriously guys: the math above is nonsense, just as nonsense as Wizardry's reasoning, which I think will serve him well.
ye I noticed, but it still not fits for my widescreen monitor, since I'm actually playing wow on almost a tv screen ^^
