The Skies of Qo'noS are dark and filled with the passage of ships and transports. From deep within the city the sound of raucious song and laughter can be heard as well as the occasional sound of Battle. It is a good time to be a warrior in the Empire, the Galaxy is rife for conquest, the old alliances are fading away and opportunity for Glory is there for those who wish to grab it.
Those visions of greatness are what has brought you here to House K'ithak. The more powerful houses in the Empire are too busy trying to consolidate their own power to be concerned with many of the leser houses, indeed within the great Houses of the Empire a Warrior is destined to wait long for his chance at glory, while those at top claim it for themselves.
But here.....here all Warriors are equal, all take risk, and all share in the glory of victory. Promises of advancement and prestige in the minor houses seeking to vault up the status chain is a strong lure to the ambitious, and it has drawn many already. The victory of House K'ithak in a daring raid on a Romulan supply line within their own borders is what has brought you here this night. Talk and politics of the Higher Tuqs is for old men and women. Here....yes here is where glory waits.
The doors to the modest hall rumble open as you approach. The entry is lined with cloaked warriors armed with Bat'leth who stand stone still, proud, with a gleam in their eye that sets your blood stirring.
At the end of the hall is a raised Dias, torches and incense burn heavy filling the hall with a thick haze. A large horned chair holds the form of an impressive Klingon, scarred and proud, arrogant looking and strong. He wears the trappings of the house head, and the Rank of Admiral. Above him carved in a large relif are the following words:
K'ithak Tuq Warriors Oath
When Threatened, fight.
Hit hard and hit fast.
We fight to enrich the spirit.
There is no honor in attacking the weak.
When a warrior goes into battle he does not abandon his comrades.
Honor is more important than life.
If you are afraid to die, you are already dead.
To die in duty is the hope of every Klingon.
Great Deeds, Great song!
Beside him sits another Klingon, younger, but obviously whom has seen his share of battle as well and who looks none the less proud or arrogant, he too wears the trappings of command of House second and the Insignia of a Captain. He motions for you forward before speaking in a thick baritone voice.
"I am Kerjak, son of K'ithak. Speak your deeds and intent before my father so that your worth may be judged!"

I have decided to go ahead with my original plan of establishing a top notch Klingon rp society, and hope to bring together other Klingon Roleplay guilds to establish one of the richest cultures Star Trek has to offer. K'ithak Tuq (House of K'ithak) is a heavy roleplaying Klingon house for the upcoming Star Trek Online MMORPG by Cryptic studios. Our goal is to establish ourselves upon launch as one of the forerunners for Klingon rp and to earn that respect through IC action and quality roleplay. We will also aim to ally and network with other Klingon and Federation RP groups in IC and in an OOC sense in order to hopefully help establish and foster a strong tight knit community.
The fleet itself will take the form of one of the many defense fleets formed under the banner of prominent Klingon Houses. While House K'ithak itself is considered a minor house within the Empire, the events following the destabilization of the Romulan Empire and the deteriorating relationship with the Federation has allowed it to move up the status chain and secure key assets to make itself a force worthy of note on the distant end of the noble house ladder, albeit small....but with plenty of room for growth! The reason for this is to foster the chance for roleplaying the advancement and growth of the house and set the stage for key IC events and missions for it's members to take part in and contribute too, thus adding to characters own personal list of deeds and honor. Afterall just starting out at the top because you want to is no fun really
Things are expected to be slow going for now, launch is a ways away, but spending the time in between to flesh out fleet details, story, lore character history and to get to know each other, as well as hopefully grow over the months will ensure that come launch we'll be ready to hit the ground running! K'ithak Tuq will be here for the duration no matter how large or small we may get from time to time.
As far as applying goes it is simple. Visit our fleet site and use the template provided there to create a thread in the recruitment forum with your tentative character name as the title along with the word APPLICATION (I say tentative just in case you have to change it at launch in case it's taken). Feel free to be as thorough as possible and to ask questions, whether your and old hat to roleplay or new it doesn't matter, everyone willing to try is welcome.
Applicants are free to apply for any positions they please, member or officer however applications for officers or higher positions within the house are not to be taken lightly and only those demonstrating the most serious commitment to helping form the Fleet and roleplay community will be considered for those.
A note on ranks. You may have noticed that there is no place for Rank on the application. This is done for a purpose. Those joining the house will be assigned a Rank dependent on a number of things, this includes officer applications. The reason for this is to avoid an influx of admirals, Generals and vice admirals and so on leading to chaos and no real structure. But don't worry, there will be plenty of room for advancement, both prior and after launch through rp!
Ultimately the house will be governed by an NPC controlled by myself, something doc and I came up with for his house which I think is a good idea still. This is to avoid anyone trying to maliciously infiltrate and destroy the Fleet that we create. A governing body will exist comprised of myself and officers to oversee IC honor challenges settle disputes and general fleet maintenance. There are some simple guidelines that all members are expected to follow:
1) respect your fellow fleet members, IC you may hate each other but OOC we're all gamers and NO in game circumstances will extend out of game.
2) represent the fleet well, no OOC swearing and or taunting of other players will be tolerated period.
3) remain IC. We are aiming to be a leader in Klingon RP, all members are asked to remain in character while in game and in IC forums. If you must speak ooc during roleplay please designate with (( )) around the text.
4) No Drama! IC drama is one thing...this is Star Trek afterall, but OOC interpersonal Drama has no place here. If you dislike another member for whatever reason keep it private and do not drag other members into it. This won't be tolerated regardless of circumstance.
5) Respect other players outside the fleet, without them we'd have no one to game with. Even if they are miserable petaQ.
6) Have fun! no ones required to do anything they don't want. PVP, PVE or whatever. It's important that you have fun with your fellow fleetmates and so no ones playstyle will come under fire.
7) The ruling body ultimately has final word in all OOC matters. Sounds a little harsh but it's nessecary. Like a DM at a tabletop game we have to keep the peace here too.
8) No godmoding or griefing will be tolerated. Remember other players also see their characters as the "main" character just like you see yours. Respect that as well and don't impose anything on someone they may not wish without consent.
9) PVP. Yes we'll do it, no ones required to take part but PVP will also be seen as IC. If you run around blowing up shuttles just to grief folk or something your peers will see that as a dishonorable act and you will be delt with accordingly.
10) Servers. While we don't know if there will be multiple or a single server all house members will be expected to follow the House to whichever server is discussed and chosen as our home.
Our main goal of course is to create a fun immersive environment for all fans of Klingon lore and culture, and even the closet ones hiding out in the Federation...I know your there! So come by, say hello, have some bloodwine and check us out.
Qapla'!
