You guys are so freaking dump. Ghowstcrawler released numbers last month on bluetracker, idiots..srsly this piss me so damn off, haters trying to bash wow by giving false info. Wow got 11.6 mio players, and number is still increasing, stated by ghowscrawler last month.
JEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ
False info? I'd love to see a source of this 11.6 million players...
Do your own reseach clown. I ghowstcralwer said it on bluetracker, so you might wanna start there.
lol... Do his own research? He's questioning your wealth of knowledge and now you're either too lazy to get the information yourself or it doesn't exist. Either way you don't have an argument and you're making yourself look bad in the process.
11.6 million subs both active and inactive maybe. But I'd shit a brick and eat it if there were literally 11.6 mil+ players currently playing. Which I of course know isn't true.
As a side note: if you're going to smack talk a community, you could at least spell basic words properly, especially when bolded...
"IRL is a pretty upstanding MMO with thousands of classes, a lot of PvP and even some pretty unique emotes and titles you can acquire. Explore that world first, then we'll talk about this virtual one."

Blizzard is rly arcurate with thier sub numbers.
Also, i dont feel like going a month back on blue tracker. I know what he said, and i belive him.
Going UP from 828 million dollars in the first 9 months of 2008 to 939 million dollars in the first 9 months of 2009. And published in an official audited financial document on Nov 2009 (page 19). See above in this thread. So what's your problem? Angry because the WOW mmo income is still going up after 5 years ? Unique. Besides after the new cross server dungeons, it doesn't matter if WOW has 1 M, 2, M or the last confirmed 11.6 M subs. After patch 3.3 you simply FEEL there are MORE than enough players to enjoy the game. I wait 2 seconds as a tank to do any dungeon these days at any level. So be glad.
I dont understand what are we discussing here.
Income or sub numbers.
All your writting is very interesting, but I only see income numbers and no official subscription release.
So, until you have them, people refrain from going offtopic. Thank you
Ill assume that you have enough intellect to understand that IS NOT an official subscription number report, and will dismiss your 100000000th post about something wich has absolutely nothing to do you the topic here.

Even 5 years on WoW holds 3 spots in the top 10 sales, its normaly within the top 5 but with L4D2, CoD4 and DA:O recently released its knocked down a few notches for a month or two.
In October it held spots 4,8, & 10, Starcraft 1 was at 13 woot! ( source )
In June it held spots 4,5 & 7, starcraft 1 at 10 woot! ( source )
What I am showing is WoW ( and even blizzards older games) are obviously still selling consistantly month after month, but we dont have official numbers in turns of retentions, and its rententions that really count.
As we are fast approaching one year since Blizzard released any official subscription numbers I thought I would see what google news had to say about the subject given someone sent me a link suggesting subscription numbers had been maintained or increased , i found no such news articles . To me it seams logical if the numbers had stayed the same or increased Blizzard would have released a press statement . As no statement has been forthcoming and given subscriptions peek around the time when there is a expansion pack released what i think its presently happening is a lull in the numbers of subscribers . How big a lull that is no one really knows . and quoting x-fire , guiness and any number of dubious websites dont amount to any kind of proof . Unfortunatly the only people that can give us the real story are remaining silent and have done so for nearly a year now .
Blizzard doesn't feel the need to share their sub numbers with you, you are of no consequence to anyone. Of course, their numbers will decline at some point, wow will not go on for 100 years. And when the numbers do decline, what's it to you?
Does it really matter how many players are playing it now? I'd bet Blizzard could care less..they've already made more money off of WoW then we could understand.
The funny thing is people just won't let go...their still playing it even now with their cartoony out-dated characters. Moving on was the best thing I ever did. I can't ever imagine myself going back to WoW after the MMOs I've played since leaving. I'd feel as if I'm letting my PC down lol
Wow's 'cartoony' graphics were 'outdated' the day the game got released. I consider it funny you're putting yourself down like this since clearly you weren't bright enough to lay off the game when the game came out when the above was already true.
As for me, I liked the game's graphics when they came out. I don't see why a few years later I should suddenly feel they are inadequate when i felt they were pleasing to begin with. You either like them, or you don't.
But I'm guessing as your computer got upgraded it somehow raised your need to see more pixel/lighting, and other technical stuff like that? Talk about a slave to the computer age of these days

I am with most people in that I wont take a forum post by a blizzard employee as "official", but Wow is still selling in droves...
