where do i get an Authentication Key for the open beta?

OB has not started yet so they havn't processed anything in regards to that. There was a Fileplanet Subscriber Incentive that allowed members to test OB a week earlier but you would have to goto FP to check that out. There are no Key's being sent out directly from Blizzard for the OB yet to my knowledge.

     The 8th is when OB is supposed to start so they should hand out the codes then or possibly a day before. Being that the OB is going to be here in a few days they closed registering for the week test before it.

WTF are they gonna lets us download the massive installer? I don't want to waste the first day (well, like 6 hours) of OB downloading the stupid thing.

I've already got it downloaded. The OB client is the retail client, minus a patch or two, I hear. From what I understand, the stress testers will download a patch before they're let into the final, open beta.

The OB client is the same as the retail client from what I hear. All you will have to do is create an account with your retail key and you can begin playing.

where did you get the OB from. I would like to get a jump on it, especially if it uese the blizz downloader.

If you were smart enough, you would have downloaded the game already when they started the final stress test.

Thanks for the post, and link but it appears blizz has caught up and killed the exploit! Well i will just wait like everyone else not fast enough to jump the download.

paradise, if you want to try this out here's how I got the WoW client:

go to http://www.bloodclan.org/main/index.php

register there ( it's free ), then go to ' downloads ' , click on " World of Warcraft ", then click on the 2nd file ' World of Warcraft Open Beta Downloader etc ' and save it to your machine ! ! !

When you have it, start it up and be ready to wait a long time . . . hehe . . . it took me 21 hrs to d/l the client ( 2563.93 MB ) but I DID get it ! ! !

Whether this still works or not, I can't say but I just did it at the beginning of the week so if you're willing to give it a try . . . .

hey, im from belgium but i also want to participate in open beta, is there any way i can do this?( except proxy things).

If you have a bittorrent client, I suggest you use that over the Blizzard downloader, it only took me 2 hours to download the open beta client through Bit Tornado at a speed of 250-350kb/s.  I was only geting 80ish kb/s through the Blizzard downloader.

How did you download it through bit Torrent? I have Bit Tornado but I couldn't find a place to download it from without using the slow Blizzard Downloader. With so many people downloading, I thought I could find a couple of good SeeDs, but I had no such luck.

Sorry I couldnt make them links, Firefox is being stupid. Anyway, just follow those directions, what I did and it took me no time at all to download an install.
