Its been a couple of months since release, I have to say for the first time in a game I have no reason to rush through to endgame.

Excusing the first 12-13 levels, I have enjoyed each level immensly. Grinding out an hour with my wife, then hitting up one of the rifts, or gathering the aethers, ore mine nodes, even some crafting.

Chatting with random people has proven to be pretty entertaining and I have met a bunch of people with common interests with some sports I follow. Smelling the roses I guess is what its really called. Aion has alot more to offer then grinding to 50 which judging by the amount of level 50's running around is laborous at best.

Aion has plenty to offer at each level, I especiallly look forward to the message that the rifts are open. Heading to a quest NPC to find yourself in the midst of a pvp skirmish where you have no chance but still try your hardest not to die. It's humourous watching the Broker without people having addons to give them quick values for the items they put up. It is a challenge to even use the Broker...I love it.

Anyway its been a while since a positve thread has been in this forum, rest assured the game is doing alot of things right and as of now I don't even care if I ever cap.

 Love you long time!

I think it's either a "you like it or you don't game". glad you like it.

I have two subs so obviously I do like it. However, I can understand why some don't.

but , when the NA came up , i decided to take it easy , and just play to enjoy the game , the quest , reading all that stuff and trying to figure it out , not just hit next ... crafting , wich ive never crafted in any MMO lol talk with people like if i knew them for long time ago LOL not just be another member on the group (lots of funny stuff on Fire Temple runs)

im lvl 34 with my main lol and have an alt lvl 26 just to be on level with my RL friends

I'm doing the same as the OP lvl 27, Sin (nearly 28) and really just taking part in a much as I can, crafting, gathering, questing, grinding, being ganked, rifting. Have joined a non-rushing Legion, I think the highest is 35, and been questing with other Legion mates a lot more lately and after all it is a multiplayer game and I think Aion is really tailored to grouping, the pug's I've been in have been relaxed and mature with very little drama but lots of fun, so its still after nearly 3 months a thumbs up from me as well.

WOW a postive forum!!!  I would kiss you friend if you stood before me :)

I too am enjoying Aion.  All those things you mentioned are what make the game great.  Sure it has its issues but all in all it is the best MMO (imo) to come out this year.  I'm glad to see a positive post out there!

Each level usually consists of me ranking up gathering/aether/alchemy/cooking 10 points, a dungeon run or 2, a few exp groups, rifting every 2-4 hours, and then trying to clear out my quest log, which is harder than it sounds :P

After 28-30ish i started doing abyss runs more, if im bored I just check some spots i know asmo's like to exp at, or go after guard farmers. I love getting the jump on people :)

but yeah i see no rush to make it to cap, lots of stuff to do before then.

I reached 30 a few nights ago. Heres a picture of a alliance rift group I made, im on server yustiel, we got threw morheim fairly well up untill we came too there level 40 guards, then 1 rank 5 asmo killed us all.  I found it difficult to understand how 1 asmo could do so much damage to are alliance.  It was fun regardless...

I think it's a solid, fun game.  It does take a bit longer to progress than other games, but it also provides the player with a good variety of worthwhile options.

    Overall, I think it's a good game.

I fell into this game by accident.  I got my son the game for Christmas, but come to find out, the sneaky little fucker bought the game with his savings account and didnt tell anybody.

So when he opened his gift, he loved it than proceeded to tell me he had it.  I slipped him $60.00 and kept the game for myself.  Now I am hooked on it.  The game is absolutely beautiful with my GTX 285 video card.  Runs extremely smooth and is fun to play.

One thing that made the game so easy to learn.....here it comes.....

Most of all the controls mimic WoW.  LOL

Been playing WoW since launch, so I slipped right into Aion smoothly.

My only beef with this post is that you could insert this same exact comment (if you edited the rifts and gathering aethers) and you could be talking about any other MMO on the market.

Granted, it doesn't matter. If you enjoy it, that's all that matters.

For the slightly above to above average player who puts in a lot of time, personally I think it's a bore.

    A little Update...

    Im about level 32 now!

I still have a blast when I play and I'm actually getting alot better at PvP.  I have two crafting professions at 399 and doing the exams.

It keeps my interest pretty well and I am enjoying this game quite a bit still. My server seems fairly healthy and extremely balanced in the abyss according if fortress holding is a good indication.

I agree the game is pretty fun up to 30, but when my Temp hit 32 the game got REALLY slow. The grind is really bad. How do you feel post 30? To be honest I unsubbed and havnt played since. The abyss was fun at first but then got tired of getting ganked by lvl 50's in one or 2 shots.
