For the final release.. No ideas on numbers, but I am convinced that if they reach a "Plateau" in final release, they'll get the money to turn on some more servers, and some more money to get bigger connections. :P
Nah. I would say more than 150K for North America. Maybe 200K (+). Keep in mind only for the first stress test more than 100K signed on. With that and counting the closed beta testers, with the players from Canada, and the new players, I'd say a good 250K might actually get in the game in the first year(s). My opinion.

Holy hell Batman! That many?! I never would have guessed that many. We're going to have coordinate a massive battle in the thousands on one server. 25k vs 25k. Man oh man, this is going to be soooooo awesome!

I think there will be way more then 150k for america. There is soooo many goddamn people that will be getting this game , Warcraft fans , starcraft d2 blizz fans , tons of mmorpgers , SOE haters and alot of just regular ppl.
I think I heard an estimate that there would be 2 or 3 million worldwide... dunno how accurate that is though. This game will also sell a TON more in korea than it will in the USA. My guess: 300k in NA, 200k in europe, 600k in asia. Maybe more.
Also these arent all on one server dood lol... theres gonna be a crackload of servers.

I would have to definitly agree that the population of active accounts in Asia will be much larger that US and EU combined. My bet is it will be around the level of lineage 2 which last time I checked the population of active accounts for L2 was 1.5 mil world wide with the majoraty of them being Asia, my guess for L2 was probably at least 1 mil from asia alone. So I would expect something very close if not more than that within a year after its release which is supposed to be feb of next year I believe(china, not sure about korea). I think it will take at least close to a year for the american numbers to get to 300k if it reaches it, but it depends upon how well the game keeps people after 4-5 months.

Id be expecting it too hit 300k in the U.S after 12 months. I COULD see it surpass Everquest (the original) in popularity if Blizzard do a really outstanding job, but in all likelihood a good 150-200k players will choose EQ2
I think it will maintain at least 200k subs in N.A for a long time. About 300 max in Europe total, and ya at least 500k in Asia, although you have to keep in mind L2 is quite a differant game to Warcraft, its far more hardcore for starters...
Im hoping that we can get a measly 15k total subs for Australia/N.Z combined...gee that would be nice

You mean subscriptions to OB or Final Release?
