So how is the game John? You're one of the few characters around whose opinion I listen to. I supposedly won an alpha tester slot here on mmorpg, but for whatever reason, the link led me to a sign up for alpha spot, not an actual one.

Lol, just again I'll post positives and negatives of what I've seen so far:
+ First fully featured vampire MMORPG other than DarkEden (personally, I get a sort of Vampire: The Masquerade feeling from the game )
+ Clean, stylized, clearly labelled interface that's easy to learn.
+ Plenty to do with content being added regularly. Tons of variety. Group missions that all you have to do to join is walk into the area they're taking place in.
+ Free player housing. You start with an apartment and everything.
+ Can be played in a casual or hardcore way with no benefits for either party.
+ Premium features are small bonuses such as only a few extra inventory slots or maybe a different type of clothing (from what I've seen).
+ Crafting allows for cosmetics, buffs, and all sorts of things to be created by you, the player.
+ Separate leveling system for Fighting, Crafting and Harvesting.
+ Gain 100 ohais (RMT currency) just for joining alpha and more for referring people to the game (they'll give you a link. Both you and your friend get 25 ohais when they join).
+ Dedicated developers that respond quickly when you contact them through their contact form and there's plenty of holiday cheer going on.
+ or - Totally social experience. Links to Facebook (and soon other social networking sites) and will display any info you allow to be public. Kind of gives the feeling that you can really get to know your friends.
- Lots of lag sometimes. It's done in Flash and in alpha though. Perhaps it'll be fixed soon.
- Unresponsive controls attributed to lag occasionally occur.
- Small areas associated with being developed in Flash. This means there's a lot of transitioning going on.
- Load times can be killer on a bad connection and can make it feel like there's more loading going on than playing the game. I don't have this issue and not everyone will, but my girlfriend won't play because of it and I'm sure others are experiencing it too. I'm hoping it gets fixed.
- Customization is null in this phase of testing. IT WILL NOT ALWAYS BE THIS WAY. I just contacted them about it today. ^^
Well, I finally got my invite...and a few leftovers xD Yeah...entered too many contests Anyways, it's pretty cool. Has quite a few bugs because it's alpha but I'm liking it so far. ^^ Most basic info about it you can find on the site. I'm liking that it's supposed to be a social game, too. It has lots of random group missions which are the randomest things. In one, you had to chase elves and put them back in a corral type thing. xD Anyone wants to play, ask. I have 5 invites from being in alpha (give you 25 ohais) and 2 or 3 extras from contests (give you 100 ohais).
I'd love an invite if you have any left! I tried to win the contest here, but didn't hear anything. Seems pretty cool!

It's a facebook game pretending to be an mmo. Now they're redoing it in flash to be more like everything else. So to sum it up, yes it's a facebook game and that's it. You can't play it w/o adding it on facebook so there we go it's just another flashy facebook game and nothing more.

Yes i did. I read up on it completely. I looked at the site i read up on the company. I did ALL of this when that little "free key" thing from mmorpg.com came up. So i know about the game. And that's all it really is. It's nothing more really then a flash facebook game. I doubt it'll have too much depth as most of these companies lack it completely . But go right ahead and play it if it'll tickle your fancy.
I for one, howerver, will be wiating for a REAL vampire mmo to come out onto the market not just another one of these hack and slash deals.

It's funny that people want MMORPG's to stray from the norm, because many are tired of the norm... but a writer strays from the norm, for what folks know of vampires, and it's not acceptable because 'that's not what vampires are'...
In my opinion, the Twilight rendtion of the vampire, being able to come out in the sun, is the ONLY way it could be successful in an MMORPG, otherwise your character has to stay indoors out of sunlight for near/over half your gaming time... Unless a developer was crazy enough to think folks would buy into the idea that the game world they are playing in is night time 24/7 365 days a year.
There are many creative ways around the sun besides this. You could have half the gameworld underground, if you play a Vampire you move to the Undergound during the day or you take damage from the sun. Thats just one off the top of my head. Your comment about the Twilight vampires or any other daylight walking vampire being the only soloution just shows a lack of imagination.
For the topic at hand, I would love a well thought out, and executed horror themed MMO something with the feel of the Bram Stokers Dracula movie. I however hate Facebook, and flash games are short term time killers at best. Twilight as a franchise (books, movies, ect) in my opinion suck, and I dont mean blood.
And going underground, or housing made completely darkened by boarded and barricaded doors/windows, is imaginative?
