Basic ToR Info Regarding Release and Beta

Putting matters to rest, and these constant annoying threads that people keep making.
Date of Release: To be announced.
Closed Beta: To be announced.
Genre: MMORPG. It has other people. Lots of people. In one online virtual world. It's a role-playing game. It's an MMORPG.
Time Frame: Roughly 3000 years before the Battle of Yavin in Episode 4.
Story: The Sith return from deep space, 300 years after KOTOR II. They are mad. Sith sac Courscant and send the Jedi. War breaks loose.
Classes: There are eight classes, and unless stated otherwise, will remain this way to launch.
Sith: Imperial Agent (sniper), Inquisitor (force powers), Sith Warrior (lightsaberer), Bounty Hunter (nuker and cc)
Republic: Smuggler (pistoleer), Consular (force powers), Jedi Knight (lightsaberer), Trooper (heavy weapons guy)
Now can we please stop these stupid speculatory threads that serve no other purpose than clogging up the forums? Until more info is released directly from BioWare, speculatory threads are just wasting their time. I'll update this thread when more information is released.

The idealism of youth... trying to calm down madmen with logic. I respect that, really. But rabid fanbois and haters can hardly be calmed with such arbitrary things like facts. I have given that up long ago and focus on watching the show. I preserve my ethics by having a tingle of sadness about it, once and then. Lets just say it in this way: haters and fanbois are both opposing factions of madmen, and I can honestly say they deserve each other.
I'd suggest to just ignore whatever they say and as a good victorian gentleman pretend they are not existing.
But then, maybe I am just cynical and reason will have an impact sometimes. Who can say. Don't let me deter you, who am I to know for sure?

Good idea but it won't matter because too many people on here post just to aggravate and can't be bothered to actually READ ANYTHING or they wouldn't be posting anyway.
Most of the posts are either criticising the game for things we know little about yet or are dooming and glooming the game b4 its even out.
(AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH engages Darth Caedus in plunger to lightsaber combat. Darth caedus retreats.)

TOR is a little higher profile than most, but the problems here are pretty much exactly the same as the ones you'll find on every other game forum on MMORPG.com. Of course, you'll notice it more for games you are interested in.

No, the worst thing facing the MMO industry is the constant stream of mediocrity and disappointment. Aion. Champions. STO (likely). Warhammer. Hopefully it stops with BioWare.
i dont care what this game is like. im going to play this game so damn hard my computer is going to melt. im saving all of my vacation time from work and then blowing it all when this game comes out and all im going to do is play this game nearly 24/7 for 3 weeks. i cant freaking wait for it to come out.
