Well I'm not going to apologise about the fact that Asians can't make MMO's. We've already been through this, it IS a western MMO because it has been tailored for western audiences even though the original is Asian based. However that means it has been changed since the Asian version and it isn't the same. Not played Spellborn looks alright, not sure about that odd turning wheel thing though, but like I said I haven't got any experience of it. Probably DDO, and the downloading can be done in reasonably small chunks rather than gigs of data so you can play *almost* straight away after setup. Upto you if you want to invest in the DDO store, but you don't have to.

TCoS: best new game of the year. (RoM was developed by a chinese company), best value (absolutely free).
DDO: best combat system.
Runescape: best in profits ("possibly" more profitable than WoW as reported in an interview with Eurogamer), most popular in the world, best quests and storyline.
Dofus: best strategic mmorpg.
Anarchy: best in term of years of service.
The point is there is no absolute "best". It is only "fair" for each mmorpg to get a piece of the pie

If you look at the graphics and combat system on youtube from the Asian servers, you can see that they're amazing. I am SOOOOOOO looking forward to this game.

@OP ;I'm having a blast playing Allods Online, and it is only in Closed Beta! Very fun game, with Astral Ships, Goblinball, and other cool features. Has some good instances, and the PvP system looks promising as well. I definitely recommend this game for a Western F2P. Haven't tried DDO or TCOS so I don't know how they stack up. Give Allods a try

I agree with manish to some extent finally some mmos that have real hack and slash battle system! but allods it's not bad too and I'll try both when they go into open beta :P
I tried Allods a few months ago. I like the style of the game, but the game is slow in the killing mobs department. I'm sure I read it's just a Beta thing but it turned me off to it.
Mabinogi Heroes is looking really good. The F2P MMOs need to start looking like this heh. Can't wait to try the NA version... whenever it releases.
