Hey guys, iv been wondering if there a new mmo like RO out there. some that was made in the past year of possible. If so thanks! post links to it as well if you can.
If you talk about the graphics specifically, the last thing that looks like it would be R.O.S.E. or something like hmm... "something something of the Solstice" or something like that.
Now if you talk about game play... RO wasn't anything really unique. So I guess any free MMO would "almost" be an upgrade from that.
It appears (at least in my opinion) to be graphically inspired by Ragnarok a lot. I did try it out a while ago, but it didn't really spark any interest with me. It's not new though, and I couldn't describe the community to you, as I didn't play much, but it definitely gave me Ragnarok vibes.
Nothing I can think off comes close to it, not even Ragnarok 2.
Graphically similar there are many, but these games just dont have the meat Ragnarok had.
gameplay, depth, content and design of Ragnarok.
The WOEs, the sheer complexity of class builds, the bosses, the equipment upgrading, the card collecting/socketing.
Ragnarok is one of the first generation korean MMORPGs, those that took years to be made and got many expansions.
Polished game, bug free, solid security, never could send a single packet or edit any mem value on it.
Ragnaroks biggest problem to me is called OpenKore and its popularity, I still remember, I uniquely programmed rogues to log in, steal blue plant, kill it, loot it, log off, change character, log in do the exact same thing in another static spawned blue plant, and do it again and then change accont, for a total of 9 different rogues... and I was the only person in the world who did that did that, stopping three times per day to stockpile the blue herbs. Besides the Industrial 46 characters without graphical interface in an old computer. I wonder what todays rigs could handle now.
I hope someone can suggest a ragnarok like mmo game.
Secret of the Solstice is gonna be your best bet! I havn't played it since launch but I recall it was kinda fun, so I'm DLing it again to give it another whirl..hehe

Depends what you mean by "like" RO.

Trickster Online looks basically exactly like it. Might be worth a shot.
