All the points you listed are either bugs or things that simply "work as intended".
I fail to see how that would make my Alganon experience any better or different from any other mmorpg.
You sad, ( just to pick one ) that "the mounts work and have no bugs associated with them ".
Ok , how is that a good point for any game? That the game elements work is to be expected and is nothing to
brag about, mounts are meant to work , it´s not some special , unique feature, that mounts can actually be used.
I could say the same from pretty much any of the points you listed, but you get the idea.

This is quite an entertaining thread due to all the bitching. Otherwise though I'm sorry to say Mughug that you really should not have bothered starting this thread. You're not doing the game you support or yourself any favours at all. Simply starting a post which says "This game isnt great and it has lots of problems but I like it" is pretty pointless. I'm not sure what you were trying achieve with that. I like having 3 boiled eggs for my breakfast but I cant say why I like them. Do I feel the need to start a thread about it? Nope.
To make it even worse you are more than willing to respond with insults to people, even stooping to the extremely childish level of criticising someones name. What the hell has that got to do with backing up your post? Sure those people may have wrongly accused you of being a shill but the fact that you have fallen into using petty insults as your replies really isnt doing you any favours at all.
Considering that you are trying to promote the game you are playing (no that doesnt mean I am accusing you of working for anyone before you start dishing out repetitive bosom buddy insults......another thing which makes you look bad), wouldnt it have been wiser to make a deliberate point of not using any insults at all for any reason regardless of whether you feel insulted yourself? Instead you have resorted to a kneejerk response every single time. There is no way that anyone reading any of this is going to feel even remotely inspired to give Alganon a try, especially considering there are already plenty of threads just like this one.

B. Create a new post in the Alganon forums.
B1. Be sure to include the price of the game at least twice and the monthly subscription price at least once.
B2. Be sure to include negative things about the game. This will make your post look more authentic.
C. If someone replies with something even remotely negative, flame them. This is the easiest way to get more views and make sure your post stays on top of the "Popular" threads list.
D. Continue posting in this one thread until it is locked or others stop posting.
E. Stop using the account created in step A.
F. Repeat these steps.

But before you make a final decision, I would recommend that you use the available trial if you have not already.
Once you have done this, then maybe you can come back and write some constructive, neutral and balanced posts about your time. Even if you have tried Alganon, you can still have a go at writing some constructive, neutral and balanced posts about your time there.

NOTE: I think I have given up on responding directly to flames becauase the poster usually does not take the time to read ALL the pertaining threads and posts, is selective in what they quote or just ignores available information in their goal to discredit or flame the person. In this light, I have learnt it is impossible to even try to have a constructive, neutral and balanced discussion with them. Therefore I will carry on with my original purpose - To raise awareness of Alganon in at least a more constructive, neutral and balanced manner then some seem to do here.
I can't read through all the pages of lies about how Alganon is something "special"..unless you use the SPECIAL the way...well you can guess. The population in Alganon must be suffering a lot to cause this surge of post wars. I guess the easiest reason would be it's Xmas period and the server still see no one new ? Frankly, the TRAIL server is nice but all it will do is show how bad the game really is to most players. IF they choose to download the crap.
Essentially -- if I am reading this correctly, you were out of line by snapping at Doomreaper. You then were proven you were out of line when you mocked him for no reason, and now that it has been pointed out that you have done so you are actually not even willing to admit or apologize.
I am going to assume that you aren't as old as you claim you are, don't take this the wrong way, but I work with older people for a living and most of them simply would never act the way you have. You have been condescending, even when approached in a tactful way and constructive way. You have been unforgiving and unapologetic -- to the point that when you were shown that your reply was initially uncalled for you decided to misquote others and claim we all misread it and are being unfair. When the truth is we are being fair and you simply do not wish to admit you actually started the whole flame war with your attitude.
I don't care if you are paid by QoL or if you just blindly love the game so much you would be willing to tattoo it on your butt and wear leather chaps to display it. The fact is you are insisting on a fair and constructive debate about the game, when you say you would recommend 9 games above it. Ironically, the one game you wouldn't recommend above it is the game that it (and the Devs admitted) to have borrowed the most inspiration from. That strikes me as strange.

Compared to World of Warcraft what are the benefits of playing Alganon?
World of Warcraft 2 Expansions that double the original land size.
Alganon has 4 zones, they feel big until you get your mount and realize they are smaller than you thought, shipped with only 25% of the world playable.
+1 WoW.
World of Warcraft has 2 modes of gameplay, PvE and PvP.
Alganon has PvE only.
+1 WoW.
World of Warcraft has money to keep creating expansions and add content and fixes issues when they appear or within a week.
Alganon has very limited resources and is already taking longer between patches to fix major game issues.

World of Warcraft recreated the UI for MMOs and it has generally become a standard set -- but they also have given players the ability to totally modify the UI to their liking.
Alganon stole WoW's UI and promised to include the modifiable part... but they forgot to add it.

World of Warcraft has 51 Dungeons, 22 Raids, (not including heroic versions) 6 battlegrounds and 5 arenas.
Alganon has 0.

The worst part is, while other games were doing Christmas specials Alganon did nothing.

In your frustration I believe you have confused me with someone else. I've read through this entire post and you never once asked me for evidence of anything stated in my reply.

You are attempting to group me with a collection of individuals who in your mind are not pleasant, and the notion that I should be grouped with your definition of undesirables is unfounded based upon my existing dialogue in this topic. I don't know if you realise this, but every time you cite my name and refer to Bosom Pals you are actually insulting me! To be honest this is the sort of behaviour I expect from kids, but given that you directly emphasised your maturity I am sure you can appreciate why I personally feel like the victim of this poor behaviour.
When I see aggressive undertones such as references to locking horns I again feel that you simply need a good friend to talk to. This sort of attitude is very negative and goes beyond the realm of acceptable if instead of discussing this on forums, we were actually face to face. I wish you all the best with Alganon and as stated in my original post I wish you happy gaming because you're obviously enjoying it. I regrettably have cancelled my account because of the many problems making the game unenjoyable. It is comforting to hear that someone else has found something worthwhile about the game, maybe a year from now when I go back to revisit Alganon and evaluate improvements I can meet up with you and we can do a few instances together, or maybe tackle some raid content, or hey - if you're still feeling aggressive then we can go for a bout of 1on1 PvP! Its not the post count, but if someone creates a brand new account, and the first thing they do is create a new thread (something no one w/o about 100 posts should even consider doing) for the express purpose of promoting a game they will look like a fanboi alt or corporate shill.
Same with new threads started by new accounts slamming the game, makes the poster look like a troll or corporate shill trying to down a game.
Point is, there actually is a need to build up some sort of credibility here in order for you to be taken even half seriously, or else you get what we had here, opinions disregarded because of a lack of history.

I'm a huge EVE fan as most people know. I believe I've created exactly one new EVE thread in my entire time here and that was just to share something about the community that I game with.
Its true, I promote EVE, but normally only after someone attacks the game somehow or promotes their game as the greatest thing ever and I enjoy making counter points to their arguments. (/wave to Zorndorf)
But in the end, I could care less if anyone else plays EVE, unlike the OP who seems to have a vested interest in promoting Alganon.

I ( and I would venture a guess at most the longer standing members of these bordes) don't pay a hell of alot of attention to anyone who creates an account and insta posts. So you are wasting your time here really.. The only folks who will likely post are going to be shooting you down and or trying to get their own post counts up by joining the flame fest

Come on guys, erase this garbage.
2 very basic facts.
1. In order to have a successfull business you must have customers.
2. Alganon has very few customers.
Alganon is failing, and yes it's a shame. I haven't even played it, and have no ideah about the quality of the game it's self. Hey, it may be great, but it won't make it 6 months without players to play the game.
It doesn't matter how cool it is to play a game without a bunch of A-holes running around clogging it up, and yes I'm sure it must be nice to play a game with a low population. BUT who wants to invest the time developing a character in a game that will be gone in 6 months.
I'm all about new games being released, and new experiences, but I won't even try a game that I think has the outside chance of closing down.
If you are truly interested in Alganon, cross your fingers and pray for a miracle.

I agree with this.
If he was being paid to post here, and IF his employers are reading his posts, I can't imagine that with his very negative posts, and his continuos attacking of people in personal defense rather than in defense of the game by pointing out the qualities of their product, he can't be a paid employee for much longer.
Also, if he is a community member of Alganon he's not speaking very well of it for the same reasons mentioned above, and is NOT going to win anyone here over to subscribing to a game that isn't nearly as good as the F2P Allods online.
