Just gotta say "WOW"

I just started playing the stress test a few days ago and I've only played about 8 hours or less but I have to say this game lives up to the name of "WoW"!   Graphics and sound are great of course, the interface is intutitive and the gameplay is amazing.

For those of you who haven't died yet, you owe it yourself to get killed.  Blizzard has made even that amazing.

Great job. I think I've finally found a MMORPG that I'll still with.

one thing that makes me thik though, is that in cinematics, Blizzard makes the game look so REAL and EPIC not to mention the music they add....it looks so inspiering and LOTR like. But in the actualy game, it looks less real, kind of cartoon like...not to mention the HUMOUR (wich is cool btw).

not that i am against it...it just makes you think....just take the last released cinematic for comparison

Cinematics are exactly what they are described to be... cinematics. You should never judge a game by the intro sequence/opening cinematics. I mean if you ever played any game you should understand that, take any of the final fantasies(7 and after of cource) and when you got the game did you actually expect the gameplay to look like the cinematics? Cinematics are merely an advertisement to help you get a little more hyped and involved with the game.

There becomes an Epic feeling only when you become truely a powerful character which with any mmo takes time. I think you have to force people to work for the epic feeling otherwise the game becomes stale and monotanus.

Blizzard has always had some good looking cinematics for their games. For the times of course. From Diablo on to World of Warcraft, Blizzard has never failed to tease us with beautiful works of art that they present in their cinematics.

But, like DaShiz said, you cannat base a game off of a cinematic. More often than not, cinematics shown in games are going to be of better quality than the over all game. If that's how the game looked when you were actually playing, most people wouldn't be able to run it. And think of the expenses going in to making a short cinematic and then just try to imagine how much money, and time, it would take to create a whole game like that.

Not to get off-game here, but cinematics for FFX and the gameplay were pretty damn close... only difference was the game lacked flowing clothes.

Final Fantasy X did have some good cinematics. Did XI feature any? I never saw them if they did.

well i didnt ment the graphics...i meant the FEELING that the cinematics make

OK....ill make it look a bit harsh: WoW graphics are cartoonish and models are more goofy like...take cats for example....they look like funy teddy bears for cussions....also in ordanary Warcraft 3 (which had graphics about the same as WoW) the cinematics gave an epic, LOTR kind, sad feeling, but the game gave that goofy appirance and characters were kind of funy (take kids in the city for example...with humongous heads....and not to mention the multi click on any playable character :) )

now again....im not saying that that is wrong...i mean man, i loved all Blizzard games mainly because of this.

but still, i once started thinking, that if the actualy game had more of the cinematics epic FEEL, that it would be a wery poverfull game in ters of story and RP experiance....

but please...again....dont take this as an attack on any Blizzard game, i mean this is also their trade mark afterall.......but i was just trying to get your oppinions on my thinking...beeing a guy that loved the LOTR story mainly cos its sad, heroic and thus epic......even if ppl were saying that hobits are gay, afterwards image

Well yeah, the graphics are supposed to be cartoon-like. Otherwise it wouldn't be Warcraft.

And FFX-2 should have been named Final Fantasy: The return of Mr. Dressup.

    FFXI... Bleh.
