Questions about the cost

This game interests me, but I'm worried about spending $50 on a game I haven't really experienced. So, is there any way to get the game cheaper? Or, is there a friends-trial system? Anything at all for me to be sure of the game before I spend that much?

    No, nothing of the sort in the moment. You must purchase the game to play/try it.

    If you know someone in Greece they can get their hands on a trial key from a computer magazine in Greece, other than that you'll have to wait for a free trial or drop that money.

    I'm in the same boat as you... I'm really at the final straw though. I am in more than a good enough financial situation at the moment and my general observations lead me to believe that most people really enjoy this game and it's something I would like, though just jumping right in without trying it is what's keeping me.

    they have a special going right now.  $87 for the client + 6 month sub.  im still thinking about doing it myself

    Ebay is a good place to start, once at a time some people leave the game and sell their account which gives the owner the possibility to download the client, right now a guy is offering it for $35.
