Raids?

HubabubaHubabuba Member Posts: 229

EQ1 was all about big raids (at least for me, and thats the part of the game I really loved).  Anybody have any information/links about EQ2 raids?  Specifially I'm wondering...

1.  Will I have to wait until the high 40s before I can start raiding?

2.  Are there any raid type encounters already in the game?  or will we have to wait for them to be added ie PoF/PoH in EQ1?

3.  I thought I read somewhere that, at least some, raids will only allow a certain number of people to participate...is this right or am I confused?

4.  Anybody here have any beta raid experiences to share?

    1. Nope, there are raids at even the early levels.

    2. Yup, they are in the game.

    3. I *think* all raids have a maximum of 4 parties(24 total people).

    4. Hmm.. well.. not really..

It should be noted however that the "Zerg" style raids of EQ1 won't be possible in EQ2. Not that many like to raid that way anyway:)

Good news, thx guys.  What level should I expect to start raiding and how frequently (assuming I'm in a raid oriented guild)?

What were the raids like?  Lots of grouped monsters?  Big bad semi-uber mobs? or just 1 really big really bad dude?

There's a couple of big bad mobs in the commonlands outside freeport...I would assume the same is true for antonica.  There is a lvl 20 dragon that is groupx2 and lvl 20 gustfeather, some sort of flying thing that is groupx2.  I only got to level 15, so I'm not exactly sure.
