Questions about EQ2 from a newb :-)

Hello all and sorry to be bothering all of you with my limited knowledge and weird questions :-)

With that said, I was hoping some kind people here can help me with some information about EQ2

 

Okay here goes:

1) is it possible to pick your own server or will it be like DAOC where there will be an EU and a US version and you won't be able to play on the other server if you don't have the correct version??

2) Is there anywhere I can see a list of spells and abilitites for classes so that I can choose what I wanna be in the game??

3) Been playing DAOC for 2 years and back in UO now, but I need something different something where I can look forward to a big world with lots of monsters to slay and friends to share fun moments with :-) UO is way to easy now :-( back in the days before AOS you see a deamon you run if solo and not a bard, now I kill em in 3-4 hits which really blows :-(

4) How are the guilds made in the game ?? ohh and while at it any guilds looking for members ? :-)

Think that was all for now *smiles* I do hope some of you wise people can help me :-) but if not thanks for rreading and trying :-)

 

Ps: Please do not start flaming this thread about EQ2 sucks and the like, I will play it and make up my own mind, been looking in to the game the past 4 days and decided I wanna try it :-)

yes, it is possible to choose your own sever. there will be many to choose from.

yes, right here http://www.clanwhitestorm.com/eq2info/ click the link on the left that says spell lists.

you need to have a group of six players, and pay an npc to create the guild. try the "guild section here, under the everquest 2 tab, there are many guilds looking for players.

1) no there will be no server restriction .can play USA servers if you want.In short english speaking europeans will all be playing on USA servers with some servers marked "uk preferred" for GM support on GMT apparently.Can play the french or german if you want too

2)used to be a list on the offical forum but they are down now till  launch.Also a lot of the spells got revamped recently so doubt many istes will offer a updated list atm.Check www.allakhazam.com they should have a list up sometime next week.

3)EQ2 is more group oriented then solo.Thus you will need a group to kill named etc.

4)in beta was just a matter of /guild create but not sure if they will make it that simple in live version probably will.There is a guild called desolation which i think has many people from this site and run by kunou.Just check couple of threads and u will see links to his site.Just remember picking a guild you should look for if they are based in freeport or queynos as you basically will have to go with that city unless you do betrayal quest.

edit- yes i think i remember them adding a guild creation feature thru an npc in some recent patches too.

Let me guess WoW is the best ,EQ2 is the worst.And annoying trolls like you is what drives people away from games.

Nice site jay have it bookmarked.And its with the new revamped spells too sadly covers only a few classes but better then other sites i seen.

In Qeynos there was a NPC located in a building in the South Qeynos Zone. I am not 100% sure but I believe it required 6 members and six silver to register a guild. I am also fairly sure that all six people had to be present in front of the NPC at the creation time.
