IMHO the Combat Upgrade did far more damage than the NGE did. Suddenly my Master Ranger could no longer use a T3 for hunting. NGE killed the Rangers off.
Why am I mad at SOE - I paid good money via subscription; I spent long hours leveling that Master Ranger and even more time out hunting for Avian Meat.
SOE never really fleshed out the roles for the Rangers; so we usually spent our time being a farmer for the Doctors.
